I mean, if you look at the writing team in a vacuum, you could almost assume this. it's being helmed by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, with Ashly Burch as a staff writer (I guess she has the most experience with the video game scene.) And you can clearly tell, that the cast enjoys each others company. I do wonder, if Charlie deigns to show up on screen at some point.

Watched the first four episodes of Kevin Can gently caress Himself. That show is weird. Basically, it's about how hot sitcom wives are living in hell and how the universe distorts into an obscene perversion of reality whenever the title character (and the canned audience) is around. Honestly, this has me hooked. I really want to see how much of that is in the woman's head as a weird sort of coping mechanism for a life which went in a dead-end direction, or if this universe just rolls this way. Also, those sitcom shenanigans where actually, kinda fun. I enjoy the mental backlash between the sort of crime drama and the wacky antics. But yeah, Kevin is absolutely a giant rear end in a top hat and probably purposely mentally abusive, based on the last episode.

I'm in the middle of episode six by now. and it's starting to dawn on me, that Cassie's mental health might not be as great as the show depicts. I'm starting to think she's an alcoholic! Finished the show. That was quite a great ride! Still a bit on the fence about the alcoholism. Was it a subtle implication, or just my imagination going wild? I guess some mysteries are best left unsolved and some interpretations have to be made by the viewer.
