Oh, they didn’t know it was gonna be the final season? That’s a shame.

Yeah apparently they didn't know until after the season had wrapped production so they had to mess around with the editing on the last episode to make it less opened ended. I really wish there was more or they would have at least known during the filming so they could have added more closure to some of the storylines and characters but like I said in my other post life doesn't have closure on everything so the ambiguity isn't necessarily bad.

I still watch Brooklyn 99 because I like the characters and they're not real cops and I hate the real police and hope to see a time in my life where they are abolished and their budgets used to help people struggling with mental illness, addiction, poverty, and homelessness.

It's not that TV cops are flawed people it's that they're typically portrayed as the only thing keeping everyone from raping and murdering each other so it's okay when they violate pesky little things like civil rights and outright murder innocent people. The whole thin blue line mentality is bullshit that's been reenforced for decades through media portrayal and, dare I say it, copaganda.

I guess that's a problem if you think that TV programs are real.

But imagine you're a dumb child who grows up watching tv shows where cops are always shown to be morally just figures who stand up for what's right and occasionally they have to do some dirty stuff but they're still actually good people when it comes down to it and now you're a dumb adult who now thinks that cops in real life are like the ones you see in Tv and you have the modern police state the us currently exists as.

Netflix has some good stuff but the vast majority of their branded content is trash garbage from a butt. I was thinking today about how they run poo poo like that but wouldn't spring for a second season of Tuca & Bertie, which thankfully is at least now on adult swim.

They're incorporating stuff from the prequel novel, New Spring, into the first season which is why Moiraine is going to be more of a pov character that she was in the first book. It's an ensemble story, I wouldn't say there's real a main character.

Also it's real obvious from the start who the dragon reborn is, it's not really played as a mystery. I just wanna see some cool sword and some cool explosions and I really really hope they get to book 4 with the Aiel because them motherfuckers is dope.

e: Rafe Judkins, the show runner, said at Jordancon last week that they should have a trailer dropping by the end of the summer, so it's coming soon-ish.

WoT has already started production on season 2, so there will be at least two. They could do it all in 6-8 seasons depending on how much they cut/condense, it's got a complete story to work with so you can do a lot of editing when you know what will be important in the long run and what ends up going nowhere.

In the case of Burn Notice, Matt Nix actually said that they didn't do more multi-season villains or get more complex with the conspiracy because that wasn't the show USA was looking to produce, so they kept the arcs confined to single seasons.

First of all, gently caress your printer, and gently caress all printers. In the 30 plus years I have been around them, I have never had a printer I loved, or even liked or at the very least didn't want throw into a canal and then set the canal on fire.

Secondly, you are gonna get all that poo poo when you print it out. Do you think printers magically do the stuff an app or extension does?

Uh no you click on the "print this recipe" button and it will print just the recipe but you do you and get heated about a very common household and office electronic. I'll be over here leafing through my binder of printed and laminated recipes with no long rambling stories attached :smug:
