Happy 2021 motherfuckers!!!!!

This year I am gonna keep watching Taskmaster. In season 6 right now and it’s probably the worst group so far but Alice Levine is very pretty which helps.

The first new show I’ll be checking out is The Great North. Excited for WandaVision in a couple weeks too.

Acaster is 7. Looking forward to that season then! Watching 6 right now, the one I said was my least favourite so far, and it’s the one with Liza Tarbuck, Russell Howard, Tim Vine, Alice Levine who is very pretty no matter how much people in the discord shout at me for saying this!!!!!!!! and Asim Chaudhry.

I think one of the reasons Taskmaster s6 is the worst one so far is because Greg’s obvious crush on Liza Tarbuck is ruining his objectivity even more than usual

The show is one of the most incredibly faithful adaptations of any media I've ever seen. It's got some minor changes of course but basically all the major plot beats have been straight on.

They really hosed up the bear fight tho

I don’t mind His Dark Materials in general but I do find it really boring at times. Season 2 was an improvement for sure - the Lyra/Will stuff was great - but it took until towards the end for me to really enjoy any scenes with Coulter or the witches, and then I thought the finale was a step down from the preceding episodes. I really hope they’re given the budget to properly portray the really crazy poo poo in book 3.

My main issue with Letterkenny is that the very first scene in the very first episode is about 50 times funnier than anything else in the show. The rest is still pretty good though

I decided to start watching The Girlfriend Experience show based on really enjoying Amy Seimetz’s last movie. Did anyone here watch it? I noticed Seimetz and her other co-writer/director for s1 split up and did their own separate seven-episode stories for s2, what’s the deal with that?

Really enjoyed the first episode of WandaVision, very funny pastiche. Almost wish it hadn’t had that very final moment, tbh.

I groaned when I saw a tweet describing it as ‘Lynchian’ but honestly that one part where Fred Melamed is choking for ages while his wife’s yelling at him to stop it definitely had that vibe down.

I enjoyed the Danson/Hunter and Moynihan storylines (except for ending an act with Danson saying “Sproing”, but whatever) but I was a little more mixed about the Vella Lovell storyline. Obviously it’s early days and they’re still figuring out the characters and what works, but having her character make such a shift personality-wise, especially in a way that doesn’t feel like it plays to Lovell’s strengths, felt very weird to me.
