I thought the status reveal halfway through the show was actually a fine idea. Letting the ladies develop initial impressions of the guys and then forcing them to confront the revealed status led to that one woman just clobbering herself over and over as she rationalized her slow but steady march towards picking the fuckboy in the end. And then immediately getting burned for it. Yeah its quite funny, and the humor is very reflective of the real world troubles Native people experience. So far they've done a really good job of weaving those things together.
