I haven't really seen much talk about His Dark Materials in here but I just watched both seasons and very much enjoyed it. I haven't read the books though so I'm not sure if the show is a good adaptation or if it just shits on the source material.

Season 4 isn't bad per-se, but being planetside in one location for most of it just kinda felt antithetical to the show's whole premise to me. It also just came off like the kind of story that would've been a two or three-parter in another sci-fi show rather than an entire seasonal focus.

This perfectly explains how I feel about season 4. I'm excited to watch season 5 but I want to wait until it's all out so I can binge it all over a couple days.

I love Letterkenny but it did take most of the first season before it really started to click for me. That kind of humor works for me but I definitely understand why some people wouldn't like it.

I forgot Avenue 5 even existed, it seems like it's been ages since it came out. Are we getting another season of it or did it get cancelled?

I'm watching Avenue 5 again. I liked it the first time and it is so much better the second time around, most likely due to the whole last year being an extreme case of everyone only believing what they wanted to hear.

I don't like this. It seems very similar to what happened when Tom Petty died, and I remember waiting forever on an update on him as well. Hopefully Bob is luckier than Tom and pulls through.

hey does anyone have a good example of a comedy that has someone saying something ridiculous offscreen as the character onscreen tries to pretend its not happening. Feels like its a gag that's been done a bit, and I'm trying to remember one, but the only one I can remember is the one in the IT crowd when someone founds out someone is transgender while someone else is giving a press conference, and that is probably one of the worst scenes imaginable.

The first thing that came to mind was in Seinfeld when Larry David shouts offscreen IS ANYONE HERE A MARINE BIOLOGIST??? Maybe not exactly what you're looking for since George could only ignore it for like 2 seconds, but It might be my favorite line in the entire show and now I can't stop giggling to myself thinking about it.

You wouldn't let some rando kill your best friend, would you??

You could easily use one of Norm's OJ jokes here. "He said he would have taken a bullet for her, he would have stepped in front of a moving train for her. Man, that's pretty bad luck when the one person who would die for you...kills you."

The best thing about a follow up to That 70's Show is that Kurtwood Smith will be in it. I say this because for some reason I thought Kurtwood Smith died a while back, so it's good to know I was wrong a out that.
