WV should do the Simpsons

If they were gonna do that, it would've been in the last episode, surely. Instead they skipped the '90s entirely. I think it's because the most prominent, easily spoofed '90s sitcoms were not family-oriented (Seinfeld, Friends, etc.) And stuff like Roseanne, Married With Children, etc. were basically already subverting '80s sitcoms. Simpsons would've been the only one worth doing, but I guess it was just too much of a reach.

Re: the last scene of Kid Detective, I think Mike and Jay were just happy and pleasantly surprised that the movie retained its darkness to the very end.

I watched Marke Kermode's review of the film in which he compared it unfavorably to Brick. I kinda hated Brick. I thought it was overly pretentious and far preferred Detective's own, subtler take on noir.

I could have sworn Malcolm in the Middle premiered in the late 90s. Turns out it was 2000. (But really, all of 2000 through 9/11 was just the 90s in overtime.)

Having the Joker say the literal words "We live in a society" is :discourse:

This is going to be the best trainwreck since Cats.

Honestly, if the Snyder Cut turns out to be an Oscar-caliber masterpiece, it would be the funniest thing that ever happened in the history of these RLM threads.

That looks just as bad as the earlier Justice League. I hate that people are getting hyped for that.

"The preview highlights one of the major focuses of the Snyder cut, which is restoring the film’s intended aspect ratio of 1:4:3. During the panel, Snyder explained that in the original “Justice League,” many important aspects of scenes were actually cut out of the frame due to cropping."

Nah, he's "restoring" it because superheroes are so "vertical", and also "the (4:3) film has more information". He even made a little diagram.

Just lol when regular twitter discovers their new comic book movie has black bars on the sides.
