Killing Dagmer Cleftjaw offscreen was some real cinematic malpractice and should have been more of a hint that Benioff & Weiss had no idea how to conclude a plotline imo

What a fuckin kick in the balls. Black Widow finally gets her own movie and it serves to introduce some fuckin lame loser replacement.

I know it’s speculation but I really doubt this movie will go any other way.

Black Widow is the lamest Avenger so it's fitting. Comics BW was a little more interesting because she had the "quadruple crosser" thing going on, but Movie Widow is very bland.

Hopefully the successor character is less of a loser.

Famous people are often thin-skinned and insecure, the idea that they should restrain themselves from interacting with the lessers eager to own them wounds their soul

It's like how Gina Carrano had an incredibly easy and lucrative job, but it required restraining herself from saying dumb poo poo. How dare you suggest she not say dumb poo poo, she can do whatever she wants!

The whole "Rian Johnson screwed the series, where could they go by the end of TLJ?" stuff is funny seeing as Colin Trevorrow already had a script for continuing after TLJ, it's pretty interesting

If you dont mind hilariously amateur art, some dude is adapting it into a free comic:
https://awinegarner.squarespace.com/duel-of-the-fates

My fave parts are Kylo Ren being such an impatient rear end in a top hat that he murders the most ancient sith teacher, and later scene where a force ghost Luke grabs a flailing Ren's lightsaber and says "you are no Skywalker."

Not feeling some of those Jenny complaints ngl

"Why are the resistance vs FO and ren vs. rey so disconnected"

Exactly what would happen if Luke failed in Return of the Jedi, the second death star still gets destroyed, Vader and Palpatine either blow up with it or leave like losers, having been humiliated on an intergalactic scale by furries

Also a lot of the Ren scenes are great because they mirror either TFA (talking to Vader's helmet, but this time rejecting him & yeeting it off the balcony) or TLJ (Ren also enters a gaping force hole, but he ends up being a lot more hostile to his teacher for his own failing than Rey)

Why do new ones keep popping up if there are only ever 2

Trevorrow script establishes that there's at least one gross alien dude who isnt a sith but can get you started on the path to being a sith, Palpatine left his coordinates for vader in the event he died

Ren went bigtime grumpy and killed him

it leaves you excited for where they're gonna go next, because for a series that's famously about finding the good in people, what do you do, what story do you tell, when they've already hit that "I feel the good in you" beat and it failed? in this heightened, mythological reality, what can our heroes do about a lost member of the family who doesn't want to be redeemed?
there's a lot of room for interesting answers, I can't wait to see what th

All the Ren stuff in TLJ was great tho, from Mr. Worldwide to shanking Snoke for Rey to getting tricked by Luke

I get some of the [very dumb] complaints about TLJ but if you wanted the continuation of Ren being a weird conflicted dork, you got exactly that

One big irony of the entire discourse about TLJ is that the movie really does Boyega and Tran a great disservice by cordoning them off into a fairly half-baked b-plot and that even the he movie’s staunchest supporters are pretty hard-pressed to say much good about.

Casino planet was lame but I liked Rose's two-scene arc; her sister sacrificed to achieve a pyrhic victory that kicked off the movie dilemma, so when Finn decides he's going to fly a hover dirtbike into a warehouse sized superweapon she stops him from doing something stupid

Had a hearty lmao at all the "SHE RUINED HIS MOMENT! SHE SHOULD HAVE LET HIM DIE" nonsense when the movie first came out, especially when it accompanied "I'm mad that Luke died" complaints
