I dunno, it's just baffling to me why people can't make such basic, responsible decisions.

Fiz - Dying Light: zombie apocalypse, you fight with melee weapons and guns, you can do parkour around the city which feels really fun and rewarding, long campaign with tightly integrated co-op. Portal 2: Puzzle solving game where you really have to cooperate to make it through the campaign. Really fun for two people but kind of short. It’s like 2 bucks on Steam though. Raft: You’re on a raft in the middle of the ocean and you have to survive. Typical survival fare with gathering and crafting but super fun if you’re into that stuff. Trine Series: 17 bucks on Steam for all 4 games. Side scrolling puzzle games where you each pick a class and use your abilities to solve puzzles and make it to the end of the level. Absolutely gorgeous graphics.

Then she goes online and looks at the same thing online and asks why I didn't make it like that. I'm just sick of having every little thing critiqued, especially when I already know I screwed it up. You should tell your wife that it bothers you when she is overly critical of the mistakes you make when you do your woodworking.

The company I work for has grown a lot lately and I feel the corporate culture bullshit encroaching into my life. "We need you to align your Q1 IT tasks with our 5 key objectives for 2021." okay let me write some stupid crap about how moving from ADFS to Azure AD SSO authentication is going to help the company *checks notes* redefine its go to market sales strategies jesus christ lol

Every year - you submit your goals (professional, personal, education) all out and then you are measured against them in your annual review. It's so loving stupid. Also, I may be going crazy from 2020 and work from home, but just connected a bunch of dots and realized they might be setting things up to outsource IT. It's more of a growing feeling in my gut than any concrete evidence, but I'm at least going to get the ole LinkedIn updated.

My wife's step father is a MAGA man who thinks covid is greatly exaggerated and all that. He tested positive for covid on the 1st. Couple of days letter he felt like total poo poo and went to the ER. They wanted to admit him to the hospital because his oxygen was low, but there were no beds left. So they sent him to a different hospital. They're trying to get his oxygen levels up now. I wonder if he still thinks it's just the flu.
