Been wanting to play Oxenfree for a few years but never got around to it. it was a dollar on steam so i snagged that rear end. it's a pretty decent walking sim, not great but not bad. cool visuals/music, but some of the dialogue really misses at critical moments and deflates the whole thing

This game was great. not as good as 0, but I really think you will lose a lot of context/feels if you skip 0 before playing this. 4/5.

Really good walking sim/feels game. I've talked about it a lot before but it really captures the failson/faildaughter journey back home to a crumbling decaying town. Waking up at 4pm and hanging out with your dirtbag friends. It's all very nostalgic for me but at the same time I think it stands on its own even without that connection. 4/5.

NG+ Hard Mode is so ridiculously easy btw lol, so definitely pick that. I don't remember if Hard is a requirement for the true ending or not, but just do it anyway imo

Ahem, ahum. Anyway:
This is a hard one to rate tbh. On one hand, it's Nocturne. On the other, it's perhaps the laziest port I've ever seen. So for that I have knocked off a point. 4/5 -- absolutely still worth playing, but if you are unsure about it wait for a sale.

The core golfing is still good, but they've removed all of the tech style shots in favor of speed golf. There are only 5 main courses here.. which is wack as gently caress. I dunno. I like this game, but it seems lacking in a lot of areas. 3/5 solo, 5/5 with friends

5/5 - Really fantastic game. It took a few things from Hollow Knight but it still retains its personality without coming off as a blatant ripoff.

WFH is impossible for me and I had to work hell hours the entire pandemic while nobody really knew wtf was going on but I did get promoted for this and I was eventually first in line for the vax. It all worked out but I'm wondering how many years those first few months took off my life. Nearing the end of Guacamelee 2.

2/5. It's an okay game at best, what kills it is the writing which is weird to say about this kind of game. You can't skip any dialogue or cutscenes and there are A LOT of them. I don't remember the first game being that bad. There were memes in the background but that was it. This game revels in them. You are forced to read painful lovely try hard conversations with marvel/whedon tier puns. It's just loving trash. I also just realized it came out like 6 years after the first game. Like why. The time had passed, and this really feels like a game from 2012 in every bad way imaginable.

4 has the worst final boss in any game I've ever played. 3 at least had Okinawa and the orphanage stuff which was awesome and a great palate cleanser I paused on 5 in the middle of Saejima's chapter so I could focus on Nier, plus I needed some time away from Yakuza in general. Could feel the burnout happening

Almost poo poo myself when I saw the line goal of the last level. I barely scraped through with 5% of the screen left. Game kicks rear end and probably the best way to play tetris nowadays
