I haven't watched a lot of movies in recent months because my brain is just fog and I can't engage them right now. This is also that time of year when I pretty much don't see daylight for weeks at a time so that6 can make you a bit screwy.

I watched Cronos a few days ago. That ruled. If you've got HBO Max check out Cronos.

I have a lot of problems with this because my poo poo's hosed. I sort of have cycles where I'll be operating on normal people hours and then it shifts back and forth over and over again. Plus this time of year makes my poo poo even more hosed.

The Ten doesn't hold up as well as I remembered. :( Some segments are still great, the whole movie is worth it just for the part that starts with the guy who sees his neighbor bought a CAT scan machine, so he decides he needs a CAT scan machine too. And Paul Rudd is good as always. But some of the other parts fall flat, and the prison rape bit makes the prison rape bit from My Cousin Vinny look positively restrained.

I'm glad that the whole "lol prison rape" thing is finally starting to die in pop culture. It's by no means perfect now, but it's a step in the right direction. I'm always disgusted when people cheer on prison rape as some kind of retribution. I've come across entirely too many people who love the idea.

I do this too, but engaging with a show and a movie are two different things for me. I'm not saying that tv is the lesser medium it's not. It's a different medium. Plus if something happens with a show where I fall asleep watching it that's no big deal I just go back to it. Falling asleep during a movie is what I consider a hell worthy trespass so if I feel even remotely tired I won't watch a movie and I'm just tired all the time now. A tv show is meant to be seen in parts, a movie typically is not.
