I don't think you get clicks by making brief negative references to Snyder in an hour long video.

Like are there people sharing the video saying 'dude check out this YouTuber she said a negative sentence about Snyder!'?

I'd argue that West Batman is by far the most traumatised. Dude has regressed far.

Glad i'm not the only one who was trying to figure out why this was a bad thing.

Hey the show at least acknowledges that people are generally on board with the idea.

My worry is that they're going to have a lot of well meaning people 'tricked' into supporting a maniacally evil movement. Just like the drat socialists!

But people were acting like this when MoS and BvS came out too.

I don't follow the MCU stuff, does Falcon & Winter Soldier get the same ire on these forums for running with a 2.35:1 ratio on a streaming platform?

Everyone does this now. They probably intended to premier it cinematically/have special screenings.

No, it's Marvel.

Everyone rightly gives Marvel poo poo constantly.

I imagine they'll either do it as a one off and never again, or the sales will be so phenomenal they'll decide it's actually more profitable to release all future MCU movies that way.

$30 to rent.

It's not really renting if you get to watch it as many times as you want forever.

Pretty sure it deletes itself after a day or two, doesn't it? Other articles are calling it a "rental fee", and I'm pretty sure that's how it's worked for similar situations in the past (Mulan might have been different).

This is the store page description if the last thing to go up on there:

Disney posted:

Starting 5th March, with Premier Access, you can watch Raya and the Last Dragon before it's available to all Disney+ subscribers or anywhere else. Disney+ will offer Premier Access to Raya and the Last Dragon for £19.99 on disneyplus.com and in the Disney+ app on select platforms, including Apple, Google, Amazon, and Roku. The Premier Access offer will be available until 5th May 2021 at 07:59 GMT. Once you have Premier Access to Raya and the Last Dragon, you can watch as many times as you want on any platform where Disney+ is available. Your access to Raya and the Last Dragon will continue as long as you are an active Disney+ subscriber. Raya and the Last Dragon will be available to all Disney+ subscribers on 4th June 2021 for no additional cost.

So you do need to keep your sub but it's unlimited streaming. Which is fine as an option I guess. Better than forcing people to go to the cinema and catch the plague.

They want to replicate the revenue generated through theatrical releases. This is just the middle ground before cinemas die off completely and the budgets of all films are cut in half.

The trailer seems fine, not particularly exciting but I'm willing to give Gunn the benefit of the doubt since he made the two best superhero movies of the last decade.

The Mandarin being some loser actor was one of the genuinely hilarious things to come from the MCU and I’m bummed they’re abandoning that.

Ah that's sucks, I didn't realize that was supposed to be the 'real' Mandarin in the trailer. Hopefully the People's Mandarin comes back in some form.

Interesting confirmation that Fantastic 4 will be the last Phase 4 movie. RIP everyone's "Phase 4 will stealth introduce the X-men" fan theories.

Not sure what "The Marvels" is referencing? Maybe Carol + Monica?

The video didn't say anything about Phase Four specifically did it?

And some of the font is the Ms Marvel logo so it'll be those two and I guess Monica will be there too.

It's going to be interesting to see how the compressed cycle for Phase 4 works out. Counting No Way Home, we're getting four MCU movies both this year and next up from a more typical two with optional Spider-Man and/or Avengers.

Most of Phase 3 was three films per year so it's not all that different. The biggest change is the massive slew of D+ shows in between the films - which will actually be relevant to the main cast and plotlines. When all is said and done Phase 4 will likely clock in at close to 100 hours of stuff to watch.

It's funny that whenever they do finally introduce x-Men/Mutants into the MCU they won't be able to hang out with Iron Man, Captain America, and probably Spider-Man for various reasons.

They'll be able to hang out with SamCap and presumably Nu Iron Man and maybe Miles Morales though.

Can someone explain this to me?

The movie struck a huge emotional chord with a lot of people and then the lead actor died tragically young.

Mordiceius posted:

I think I would understand the emotion more if it wasn’t just title art. It is literally the most nothing thing.

BRB getting emotionally distraught over some WordArt of the new Avengers title.

I don't think it's so much the art as the name itself.
