I've started lifting again. This time I'm adding curls and triceps pulldowns into my routine. In the past it was like "lol I don't want to be a curl bro" but older me wants arms. I'm also 5'10" and 200 lbs. at some point I'd like to get to 180 or so. Maybe after a few months of lifting to get my strength back up.

carry on then posted:anybody know what the options are for a really compact rack that would fit in an apartment? i'd like to actually do bench press instead of dumbbell press and to be able to front squat more than i can power clean into position. i'm a weak nerd so it only needs to be able to hold like 250lbs although headroom to grow further would be nice I'd only do this if there wasn't an affordable gym close by. Compact racks tend do be kind of unstable

carry on then posted:yeah it sucks but i'm trying to make the best with what i have, especially since i really really don't want to have to drive to a gym every day to lift and worry about getting covid and everything else I guess after being vaccinated and boosted, along with all the evidence that covid mortality and sickness is going way down, my covid anxiety is mostly gone. I understand though, gyms are pretty gross.

think I’m going to start lifting again after doing some traveling for Christmas. had to stop while my heart got checked out after an abnormal ekg but just finished all the tests and turns out it’s fine. going right back in with all the resolutioners woohoo

Before I gained some weight I could maybe bang out 5 to 8 reps but with the machine I can really focus on going all the way down and engaging the right muscles with each rep I used the one at the gym before i was able to do non assisted pull-ups. worked as advertised, would recommend
