Worrying about EVs versus gasoline engines is dumb because none of it matters to the climate disaster that is already happening. If this were 1950 maybe.

I figured it was just a moral question. If you are in a car hurtling off of a really high cliff and you have a few years until you hit the bottom and die are you the type of person to sit back and laugh about how cartoonish and tall the cliff is or are you the type of person to frantically try and workshop ways to survive with the other passengers. Screaming at anyone who has resigned themselves for giving up and committing suicide as you hastily scribble out theorycrafted solutions that will never do anything.

Technically putting all of your shirts out of the windows as makeshift parachutes adds a non-zero amount of air resistance that might slow you down. Do you really need that? Is it important for you to be able to smash into the ground at 99.9999999999999999999% of terminal velocity secure in the knowledge that you flapped your arms to try and steer the car into a more optimal impact profile?
My gut reaction is to just LMAO but there's a nagging sound in the back of my head, barely audible over a whisper, "...better things aren't possible... better things aren't possible..."

We could save them some time

It’s a little secret of the news business that for some anticipated events, like a Supreme Court decision or the death of a prominent figure, we pre-write articles or different versions of them so that we can publish quickly once news occurs.

Which is why there is now a trashed draft of this article explaining how the April jobs numbers show what a hyper-speed economic recovery looks like. It was completely wrong.

It's a big shift in how people think the world works, and certainly seems like a sick joke, so everyone's gotta process it in their own time.

I love these clickbait articles and the last one I clicked had some quotes from a recent interview with that Rich Dad, Poor Dad dood.
Pre-recession I read some of these books that always pushed passive incomes and "don't go to school and become an employee" mindsets but never really understood how it could be practical to tell the general population that they should all own their own businesses. If you start a diner that hires several employees, that doesn't really increase the amount of people going out to lunch on Wednesday, right? So you're just splitting the existing customer base and siphoning from the same labor pool.

But "create jobs" was never about producing any benefit to the greater economy, it's about creating and growing your personal fiefdom. How can you be a small business tyrant if there's no one to exercise power over?
