This was my first Shantae game! I got Seven Sirens as well, which I think is slightly better overall, but this one was still a lot of fun

I agree that the animation work is just generally a joy to look at

I don't know if your recording/editing process supports it, but have you ever tried auto ducking? I feel like that used to be popular to do with video LPs. or maybe you do that and I just didn't notice

personally though I thought it was fine, but maybe that would be a possible solution for everyone

yeah, I've never felt the need to avoid damage in Shantae because it's just so trivially easy to get that health back. and a bunch of enemies only do quarter or half heart damage so your HP is way bigger than it looks

as compared to a game like Hollow Knight
