Not all found-footage is horror or spoof, as I think The Other Side Of The Wind showcases pretty well. It’s a weird watch despite being a “mockumentary” poking fun at the French New Wave while also showing how difficult Welles could be to work with. The film is cobbled together from footage from Orson Welles’ last production. It was in development hell for over 40 years and when I saw it in ‘18, it was on Netflix. I think it’s worth it if you think you’d find it interesting. I, of course, would pair it with They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead, which is the making of flick about The Other Side of the Wind. It’s wild stuff! Treguna Mekoides has a new favorite as of 08:29 on Jan 21, 2021 |
