Did you look at overstock.com? Everything they sell comes in a huge range of quality, styles and prices, and one does not necessarily correlate with another, so definitely read reviews, but with careful shopping, we've done pretty well with them over the years. We did have Kmart bookshelves without feet on carpet in an apartment for years without issues, so I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of staying stable on carpet.

It's an uneven floor under the carpet, enough that I can notice just walking around, so that's amplifying the issue of carpet for potential steadiness or lack thereof. Hence the active concern instead of just "i'll deal with it whenever".

Steel rack with some (card)board on it so the books don't fall through the grid. You could wrap it in colorful yarn like a loom or something. <-- next hot trend

Ah yes, what better way to improve a coffee table than with random protrusions. Inject everything in this room directly into my house, including the cat. Let me mount my guns where I need to climb on the desk to reach them, exposing myself to snipers. Yes, I know they're decorative, but I come from a household where the idea of a decorative gun is anathema. Neat, but I have my doubts about the rigor of the homeowners' dig methodology. Would not live there, and certainly not in the hotbox.

Afaik your cheap bookcase options are Ikea (some are real wood), DIY and/or knowing a guy, and craigslist. In your situation it sounds like craigslist might be the way to go. Just set up an alert for "tall bookcase" and give it some time.

The one around here is called Blessings Abound but I think every big metro area has something similar. I think the phrase to look for is going to be something like "estate clearout".

The search term here is "NFT." The house itself is completely awful in that someone took a lovely mid-mod house, stripped it of all its personality, and turned it into a generic open concept, but whoever buys it also gets their own NFT of it.zillow posted:Welcome to the worlds first NFT Property. that Chicago house is really cool but like with most modern homes, incredibly oversized. The main bathroom has marble loving everywhere, even on the floor. what is up with the super wide faucet in photo 19? I've never seen anything like that. anyone know what the leather chair in photo 31 is? It reminds me of Bertoia but I don't think it's one of his designs

The Chicago house is smack in the middle of Lincoln Park, the richest, oldest money neighborhood in the city. It's all gigantic mansions, private schools, and nannies pushing $800 strollers. I had a private piano student about a block away from that address and never actually met a parent, just a series of nannies.

yeah that is close, none of the faucets I've seen have the handle so high up on the faucet, with it only sticking out on one side. After looking up Dornbracht, I did come across this faucet which I've seen several times before https://www.dornbracht.com/us/kitchen/luxury-kitchen-faucets/sync/single-lever-mixer-pull-down-with-spray-function-33875895-000010 edit: to the immediate above poster, that one is pretty cool as well. I have this somewhat industrial style one - not sure if I love that side of it (i.e. exposed tubing) but it does work very well for spraying down the sink when cleaning. https://www.kraususa.com/kraus-kch-1000-33-drop-inundermount-kitchen-sink-w-bolden-commercial-pull-down-faucet-in-stainless-steel.html actionjackson fucked around with this message at 22:18 on Apr 26, 2021 |

I can't seem to find anything that's an exact match. The closest are the Franke Pescara which has the handle height but the arm looks more round than flat and the on faucet controls may be different: https://www.ferguson.com/product/franke-pescara-single-handle-pull-down-kitchen-faucet-in-polished-chrome-fffpd4300/_/R-7629038 https://www.ferguson.com/product/franke-pescara-single-handle-pull-down-kitchen-faucet-in-stainless-steel-fffpd4350/_/R-7532885 This Blanco is pretty close too but the handle is a bit different and there's a black feature on the end of the arm where the faucet goes: https://smile.amazon.com/Blanco-441332-Culina-Semi-Pro-Kitchen/dp/B004QLAXHE ZLine Incline is similar with a flat arm but the handle is lower: https://www.zlinekitchen.com/incline-chrome This Elkay Avado has a wider base but is close: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Elkay-Avad...teel/5000310541 These are wrong for a couple of reasons but of a similar high height pull down without a big spring style: http://water-ridge.ca/en_ca/index.php/4231950.html https://www.rejuvenation.com/catalog/collections/culinary-pull-down-kitchen-faucet/products/58a5fe1ab504f5558d0019fa https://www.mooresupplyhouston.com/...chen-Faucet.HTM It's wild that with pictures of everything on the internet I couldn't find the exact match, but it could be an older model or product line from a brand whose website I went through or a little more obscure.
