And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.
"Mizuki's Whirling Candy received the same amount of first place votes as the Buckshot Lariat, but receiving no second- or third-place votes meant that the Buckshot Lariat took the win."

I love this note because it means she was either #1 or not on the list. If you saw it it was clearly the best move of the year.

Glad to see me and Bushi’s Promotion of the Year votes sitting at the bottom of the top 10; demonstrates that we have very exclusive taste.

Assuming it’s 5/3/2 scoring which I think is how this normally goes?

I just noticed that everyone who voted for DDT's weekly TV show must have voted it #1. Where as clearly some people who did vote Dynamite had it lower than #1, so that means DDT had a 100% success rate & so wins the award.

4. Yuka Sakazaki vs Mizuki, TJPW Wrestle Princess, 11/7 (3) 19
5. Tetsuya Naito vs. Kazuchika Okada, NJPW Wrestle Kingdom Night 2, 1/5 (2) 18
6. Go Shiozaki vs Kenoh, NOAH The Chronicle Vol. 3, 8/10 (2) 18

T10. Toryumon vs RED (Unit Disband Elimination Match), Dragon Gate Final Gate, 12/20 (2) 10

the ****** match from AEW Revolution takes Match of the Year honors in a walk, quadrupling the points of second place: the main event of Night 1 of Wrestle Kingdom, Kota Ibushi vs. Kazuchika Okada. Page and Omega vs. the Young Bucks appeared on 25 of 38 ballots, powering it to a runaway win. Go Shiozaki is the most represented wrestler in the top 10 with three matches. Hangman Page, Okada, and the Young Bucks all are represented twice in the top 10. Mizuki vs. Yuka Sakazaki had the second-most first place votes, taking it to fourth place on the list.

TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR
1. THE YOUNG BUCKS (MATT AND NICK JACKSON) (17) 107
2. Kenny Omega and "Hangman" Adam Page (6) 73
3. Dangerous Tekkers (Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr.) (6) 45
4. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent? and Orange Cassidy) (4) 30

8. Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) (0) 8
T9. AphroditE (Utami Hayashishita/Saya Kamitani) (0) 6
T9. Bayley and Sasha Banks (0) 6

the two tag teams in the Best Match of the Year also take first and second place in Tag Team of the Year balloting. Kenny Omega and Adam Page, despite not teaming regularly much before 2020, had a very impressive year, holding the AEW Tag Team Titles for 228 days after winning them on the Jericho Cruise. Dangerous Tekkers take third place, having a great year with a standout feud against Golden Ace and holding the IWGP Tag Team Championships for 176 days. however, this was the Young Bucks' award to lose. anchoring the division despite not holding the titles until November, the Young Bucks were outstanding throughout the year, helping to elevate and having the best matches of several teams' careers, including FTR, The Acclaimed, and The Butcher and the Blade.

MOST OUTSTANDING WRESTLER
1. KENNY OMEGA (11) 85
2. Shingo Takagi (5) 40
3. Go Shiozaki (5) 35
T4. Kota Ibushi (3) 26

T6. Rey Fenix (2) 18
T8. Minoru Suzuki (2) 14
T8. Adam Page (1) 14
10. Jon Moxley (1) 11

the Best Bout Machine renewed his plaudits in 2020, with a six-star, a five-star, and two 4.75-star matches. overall, Omega had 15 ****+ matches as he worked his way towards taking the AEW World Championship from tenth-place finisher Jon Moxley in December. Shingo Takagi, buoyed by a 5.25-star and a 5-star match in the G1 Climax, finishes in second place in his first full year in NJPW's heavyweight division. Go Shiozaki, who had an exceptional year as evidenced by his three top-ten matches in Match of the Year voting, finishes third in recognition of his carrying NOAH on his back.

WRESTLER OF THE YEAR
1. JON MOXLEY (19) 113
2. Kenny Omega (3) 50
3. Go Shiozaki (4) 39
4. Tetsuya Naito (2) 24
5. Brodie Lee (2) 21
6. Adam Page (1) 17
7. Yuka Sakazaki (2) 14
8. Kota Ibushi (1) 13
9. Shingo Takagi (1) 7
T10. Hiromu Takahashi (0) 7
T10. Cody Rhodes (0) 7

AEW World Champion for the majority of the year Jon Moxley is your 2020 Wrestler of the Year. appearing on 26 of 38 ballots, his mixture of charisma, believability, and match quality ensured that he would emerge from the rest of the wrestling world to take the top honor of the year. winning the title from Chris Jericho at AEW Revolution, Moxley was a fighting champion, successfully defending his title nine times against the likes of Mr. Brodie Lee, Brian Cage, Eddie Kingston and MJF. the man who took Moxley's title, Most Outstanding Wrestler Kenny Omega takes second place, not receiving many first-place votes but being voted on 16 ballots to take second place. Go Shiozaki finalizes his year with twin third-place finishes in Wrestler of the Year and Most Outstanding Wrestler voting.

Would you be my new best friends?

Goddamn, I thought that Young Bucks/Hangman & Kenny and Young Bucks/FTR might end up splitting the vote and letting something like Okada/Ibushi or Naito/Ibushi in, but Bucks/Hangman & Kenny just obliterated all competition. I preferred the FTR match but it's still pretty hard to argue with that choice.

Just realised the only 2 matches on this list that I haven't seen both feature the Young Bucks.

I'm glad to see Go getting some well deserved love because his year was an all-timer as far as just putting a promotion on your back & still running like you're Usain Bolt in the Olympics 100 metre finals. And also the Dragon Gate elimination tag, which was absolutely one of those matches that DG do better than anyone else & bare minimum deserved to be in the top 10.

It's an excellent match (I was there for it) but I can also see why it wouldn't necessarily be to someone's tastes if they didn't like the Young Bucks. Their style and personality is all over that match. Which is absolutely astounding if you like their style and personality.
