Here's a snip of my game with beer pal There's apparently a forced checkmate after this move, per the lichess computer brain. I didn't see it at all but its bishop to g3 to start

Yes it does and you also have a tutorial option and highlights and explanations in settings, so you can learn how to play while playing against yobbers!! Basically it's like posting

this (hopefully legible) mspaint diagram might help to visualize the squares around the king directly under attack. this might be one of the most exciting stalemates i've ever seen! red x's indicate squares the king cannot move to, colored lines indicate other pieces' attacking squares

Ending up in stalemate like this is classic, if someone only has a king left, it's easy to accidentally end up in a situation where the king is neither in check nor can move anywhere

yeah I had a long rear end game yesterday where in the end I had 2 queens and they were down to their king, I was thinking like can u resign already and rushed the checkmate and ended up stalemating them in the corner

Pretty good for not understanding chess on my part. My dad is a pretty well ranked player and has tried many times to teach me but my brain can't hold all the rules in my head at once so I just go with what looks good. |

I was playing my good friend beer pal and I think I flubbed up an opening which could have forced a queen exchange not in my favor (removing my ability to castle), or a pawn up for my opponent, and I thought I'd do a quick "study" in lichess for it. https://lichess.org/study/ctDd5MwJ

i did it i won a chess! 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 { C46 Four Knights Game } 4. d3 Bc5 5. Bg5 O-O 6. Nd5 h6 7. Nxf6+ gxf6 8. Bxh6 Re8 9. Nh4 f5 10. Qh5 Nd4 11. O-O-O f4 12. Bg5 f6 13. Qg6+ Kf8 14. Bxf6 Be7 15. Qg7# { White wins by checkmate. } 1-0 i'm really happy with my moves starting at turn 11, the queenside castle helped with my safety concerns a lot, and allowed me to do some very spicy moves on the side of the board. thanks vanisher for the game it was fun! you put me in several "oh jeez oh heck" moments in the midgame biosterous fucked around with this message at 02:53 on Jan 26, 2021
