Had to be on three rounds of antibiotics a couple years back and I've had constant belching attacks since along with acidic stomach issues and swallowing issues on occasion. Pretty pissed about it since I wouldn't have had that many rounds if my doctors hadn't prescribed too weak an antibiotic the second go-around and I want to have Indian food and coffee without being in misery.

I had heartburn earlier from a can of peppercorn steak chunky soup (no not recommend, its like a week's work of sodium, so good), and took a tums and it went away. but do not take them on tricyclic antibiotics. Holy hell just do not

Yeah tums are last resort Try to eat a healthy diet and don't lay down too soon after eating, and in the same vein don't eat too late at night If you're a dipshit like me who likes to smoke weed and eat too much food and lay down immediately after, lay on your left side Hope this helps op

lie down on left side huh, I will try and employ this pro tip and see how well it works. haven't had antacids in years though, I'm all about those probiotics and eating vegetables occasionally I remember idly eating a bunch of the multi-color flavored tums in my college dorm room one night because I was bored and they kind of tasted good, in a chalky artificial way. well I wasn't keeping track and my guts started rebelling and I realized "oh I'm snacking on medicine, that's pretty loving dumb of me."

Just take a half-shot apple cider vinegar instead. Instead of the basic tums oxidizing the stomach acid it tricks your gut into dialing back acid production.
