I started listening to them in earnest because of the 9/11 series. I was 13 when the towers fell, and it was the War in Iraq that radicalized me as a young pup. Being able to listen to an intelligent and reasonable breakdown of the factual occurrences that lead up to the attack without constantly feeling like a lunatic is something I’ve wanted for years, and this was the best version of that I’ve found.

i understand that to some degree this podcast was always about inane rambling that is somewhat difficult to verify, but this episode is just like an extremely coked up guy (who seems very convivial and jokey with a lot of known sickos and predators!) just going off on a tangent for every single name that gets mentioned. I listened to the entire thing and barely absorbed the information because he is just info-dumping for the entire hour.

Honestly the idea that Jeffrey Epstein dying took out a substantial % the world’s Bitcoin because no one has access to his wallet now is extremely funny also this episode had a really eye-opening gotcha moment when Liz was like “yeah there’s a reason we have literally never heard a single news story about what the energy concerns of Google or YouTube’s server farms are or their insane consumption of resources, and you never fuckin’ will”

No, the movie doesn’t really help or frame anything better, treat these episodes as a longform lecture series to be consumed and reconsumed. Like I’ve listened to their 9/11 episodes like 4-5 times a piece because I liked learning about all the moving parts of the administration. Same thing with Blowback, good things to listen to a couple times to let everything sink in.

This Elliott Smith episode is so completely up my alley, I remember being a Smith Suicide Truther in High School and having spooky punk girls explain their theories about his controlling girlfriend who OBVIOUSLY Courtney Love-d Smith. Really incredible episode, especially Brace’s closing. Also Young Chomsky absolutely bangin’ on the drops for this one. An all timer for me.

A dude currently stationed at Ft. Bragg came into my LGS to play cards a week ago and I asked him about all the LSD and JSOC stuff and he was just like “I got a story for ya. Last week, Tuesday or Wednesday, I’m in my room in the barracks and I hear screaming. I go out on the balcony and there’s a woman sprinting completely naked around the yard. She’s a high ranking specialist and everyone knows she likes to trip so I guess it finally caught up to her, but it’s really funny because she’s like top tier and is doing like spin kicks and judo flipping over the officers trying to tackle her. I’ve listened to maybe 10-12 episodes of his podcast and I feel like his politics are pretty good, haven’t heard anything cringy yet, but I recognize this is someone who made 10 million dollars playing video games on Twitch for children and I try to keep that in mind. He’s also a mega-hunky dreamboat in a sea of gross Dad-bodded podcasters, it’s nice to have a crush  I have never and will never watch his stream

I’m kind of bummed because I got into this podcast because of the Epstein stuff but I really can’t find a good “episode guide” of the best Epstein episodes. The show has obviously gone on to eclipse Epstein and become about more than that, but still it’s be nice to have the key Epstein saga episodes to reflect on. Also you GOTTA listen to the crazy 2-parter about the Nazis who gently caress dogs it’s WILD
