Just found out that one of the products we manufacture, one variation is fully designed and manufactured in-house. While a slight variation in the same family is completely OEM, off the shelf from China.  So it's basically a 50/50 chance for the customer. If you buy this product we can fully support you and make engineering revisions if required. But if you buy part number xxx-12 instead of xxx-11. Well gently caress you, you're out of luck. None of this was made available to the sales or technical support team. It slipped out from one of the engineers when I kept raising issues about the dodgy product.
