So I guess it was Ottawa and a one game fluke, back to chaos defending.

Scary that I’m happy to see Loui back in the top 6..

Dark times.

This could get ugly. That was just NHL vs AHL

Who would you put out there?

I’m no expert but what about playing 7 D. Juolevi isn’t any worse and if it means elder plays 19 minutes instead of 23 for example surely that is going to have less fatigued fuckups. Lines are in a blender by 2nd period anyway and would they really miss anyone on the bottom 6?

Good a 2 minute beagle line shift when you need 2 goals in 6 minutes!

I would also like Travis Green fired

Like why the wouldn’t at some point in the last ten minutes use a timeout to allow you to play your top 6 for an extra shift each. You don’t need timeouts for challenges or anything, use them!

Neither of these teams have anything remotely resembling NHL calibre defense or goaltending.

I’m no expert, but I think the rule on a 2 on 1 is to take McDavid...

I've come around to the idea that Myers is a baby giraffe that somehow keeps wandering in to the arena. His play makes way more sense under this assumption than just about any other.

The athletics running line of him being chaos agent or whatever is pretty apt. Problem is you don’t really want chaos when you just want to close a game out. I think the real problem is the number of players who just don’t bring anything, I think half the Canucks would be in the bottom 10% of guys you’d want to have a break away or a 2 on 1 with, complete black holes of offence (that mostly aren’t that great at defence..)

The inability to turn any of the fringe players into contributors is really hurting now. There’s a fair chance that the player Seattle get from the Canucks could be in the worst couple of players that make up their roster. Right now would Seattle take Gaudette? Jake? Myers? Juolevi? Suggested that they could use a protected spot on Kole Lind, currently in the AHL.. that’s not a great sign.

Other than the guys who barely need coaching, what is the Canucks developmental success? Tyler Motte? A PK specialist. Feels that the only players exceeding expectations developed out of reach of the team. All just seems a bit poo poo.

I really hope the silver lining here is being out early enough to logistically sell a few expiring contracts, and hope that the 3-5 rounders you might get for Pearson or Sutter have a better chance of getting lucky given how hard it would be to scout right now. Or Benning being fired, but I’ll believe that when I see it.
