Shepard became noticeably less psychotic throughout each version of the game. Mass effect 1 evil Shepard was such a bastard.

Mass effect 3 evil Shepard was a pushover, hardly able to murder his own scientist or something. Mass effect 1 Shepard could barely go a mission without executing somebody.
