They should call it the 30-70 because that's about how often I will hit with it.

I like having three levels of loot. Just finding blues and purples was kind of boring.

Well, the Anvil uses double ammo per shot.

I don't think the Wattson shield regen will make a huge difference fighting her. It will be nice for instances where you come out of a fight and don't have many heals. Really I haven't used Wattson since they put her ult on a timer, so this makes her a bit more appealing.

Sucks about Caustic. They should bring back his vision blur if they're going to encourage people to fight in his gas.

edit: Bring back the drat prowler already.

There's a small difference between standard muzzle flash and gold barrel muzzle flash but it's extremely subtle

Gold barrel only made sense as an item before they reduced muzzle flash across the board

If they're not going to change them to suppress noise or something, I really figured they would remove them when they added gold mags.

I've been enjoying the flares. I like the big single ring better than smaller ones, though I wish it would appear in a random place instead of the center of the circle every time.

The best thing about fuse q stick is that the stick is actually bigger than the actual nade, meaning you can fire it at a corner and it'll stick to someone who's around it and not peeking.

I expect them to fix this never because fuse sticks rarely if ever win a fight.

That explains why they're so easy to hit. I'm not sure it's a bug though. I think it's supposed to be the shockwave(?) from the impact doing area damage or something. It's not like the "stick" actually follows them after they move.

EA's chief studio officer confirmed it here.

I don't think this quote is really saying anything like that. Just EA blowing smoke about "giving the players what they want".

quote:

"Apex takes place in the Titanfall world and the Respawn team is incredibly proud of that legacy and brand," she says. "That team will determine what the future holds for Apex and Titanfall. I don’t believe in directing or telling games teams what to create, it has to come from the player community, and the inspiration and motivation of developers."

Everything you've described is more or less useless in a fight. Dropping smart means you can pretty well overcome rng load out trash and If you have time to set down a loba ult and use it to swap or get bats and the other team doesn't punish you, it's not that loba was good, it's that they were bad.

You know what else let's me swap and get bats from death boxes? My legs. I can I do it safer, quicker and stealthier in almost any situation other than a very select few edge cases.

If Loba is your favorite character, you should really try games like Call of Duty, you can get your favorite load out every time on spawn!

This is ridiculous

Though these are good, specifically #1, I'd still prefer literally any other legend to both play as and as a teammate. Even in spite of getting all the best loot, lobas are consistently dropping pathetic numbers in my games. And anyone who is very very good with Loba, I bet they would do even better as someone else in the long run. Of course maxing damage and winning games isn't the only metric for fun

Bad players using Loba does not make Loba a bad character.

Just make Horizon's tactical auto-eject you at the top. It shouldn't have any use as a stable platform to fire from, or as an emergency way to heal in the middle of a field with no cover.

I really like her cooldown being low and using multiple lifts during a fight.

Maybe I have low standards because I feel like pretty much all modern multiplayer FPSs play fine. Occasionally I'll get the start-of-match slowmo in apex, but that's only like 1/50 games. Never do I get any hit registration issues.

Compared to the days of p2p hosted multiplayer of last generation, games now are pretty much perfect to my eyes.

Huh.

That's probably a good thing. It always seemed like a lazy/quick way to balance characters when people started freaking out over hitbox sizes in week 1. There's plenty of ways to buff/nerf a character with their abilities.

Hopefully that means they'll also take away Fortified for fat characters

I know it's to make melee even remotely viable, but it's dumb that punching someone in the face does more damage than shooting them with most of the weapons in the game.

I imagine there will be some dramatic re-pricing of different guns in Arena when they get some usage data. So far I've stuck with naked Volt for round 1 and upgraded Spitfire for Rounds 2+. I haven't tried a 2-weapon loadout very much.

The average k/d is under 1 because if 60 players are in a game only 59 of them can get kills and because it also skews top end.

Maths eh?

Skewing top end won't affect the mean, which is usually what people mean when they just say "average". And if you put 60 players into a deathmatch game with no respawning, yes only 59 kills are possible. But only 59 will die so it's exactly 1 k/d.

The real reason the mean K/D is below 1 is because of suicides. You can't get a kill without also causing a death, but you CAN die without allowing a kill.

I was glad they removed the ridiculous bunny hopping while healing, as well as the nearly-unlimited dive range off jump towers. I don't care too much about tap-strafing because I play on console, but it seems to fall in line with those things, which clearly go against how the developers intend for characters to move.

Trying to reload at a door is what always gets me.

Does Japan require them to do that for legal reasons, or are they just using Japan to test the waters?

Apparently Bethesda did the exact same thing a few years ago in Japan:
https://www.reddit.com/r/RAGEgame/comments/c6ielb/bethesda_puts_an_expiration_date_on_virtual/

Someone on there speculated it was related to this:

quote:

I did however found that companies can be excluded from being subjected to the law called payment services act IF they set an expiration date to be less than 6 months AND specify that date.

It seems setting an expiration date to virtual currency is a not so uncommon way to avoid legal regulations -.-

If anyone's interested here's a link to the English translation of the law mentioned above.

http://www.japaneselawtranslation.go.jp/law/detail/?id=3078&vm=04&re=01

Curiously it was also pointed out that EA had similar language in their TOS back then. I guess they just haven't done it in a game until now.
