So uhhh no one is going to point out how having a sentient female ai living in the phone of a teenage boy with access to the internet is going to end with the need for lots of mind/eye bleach for the AI?

I can't tell if Zenkichi sent them there without the knowledge of all the merch or with it, and I desperately hope it's the latter

I've been enjoying the music, much like any Persona game, but temped to buy the Classic BGM pack in the hopes of hearing more than 15 seconds of the same combat song because the fights end so quickly, but there's a lot of them.

Is NG+ locked to Merciless, or can you choose what difficulty you want to play on?

You can choose, but nothing except merciless scales to suit endgame levels so every other difficulty is easy as gently caress for no real rewards.

Merciless is hard enough to actively not be fun, imho.

I guess if I do a new run it'll just be a fresh file on Hard.

As a guy with trophy-hunting brain problems, I'm real glad the only trophy related to Merciless is to start a NG+ file with it, and that's it.

It does condemn you to 15 hours of killing one miniboss repeatedly to finish the last trophy though.

Yeah but I take what I can get ya know. So many games with a 'Beat the game, again, on super fuckoff difficulty!' thing that I just look at and sigh.

I don’t disagree, I personally don’t see why they couldn’t have scaled the other difficulties for ng+ since they clearly flag the save as different from a fresh game for things like being able to fuse Lucifer, so it’s not like “it’s set to merciless” is the only change to record.

Just lay out the level curve the same as on merciless and leave the AI and damage scaling the same as it would be for those enemies on the other settings.

I’d rather they have done that than what they did do, which made me kill the same miniboss over and over for 15 hours :v:

So a loving Persona game literally had a bath house scene that started with the cliche "omg look at your curves" and it doesn't... turn into one massive gag scene? The boys are just like "huh, alright" and move on to talking about other stuff and Sophie? In an Atlus game?

How much does Technical High extend the duration of buffs? Since two party members can get it I could switch to Churrascos for early fight buffing and switch to using Heat Risers instead in the later part of the fight.

It's arguably the worst part of the game, but thankfully that's a relatively minor quibble in an otherwise respectful game?

Sounds like you’re bad at at the babby game for babbies! Just kidding

try to stick to the statues/hiding spots as much as possible. Except for one that’s patrolling you should never go towards those helicopter shadows. They’re there to basically tell you you’re going the wrong way. It’s also not very long and a one time thing so I wouldn’t worry over it too much.

I really liked that segment for highlighting the difficulties one without metaverse powers has inside of this world. Then you have persona users that are zipping all over the place, leaping from buildings, sprinting left and right, and more.

Jail 6: The stuff around Konoe's mindset is really intriguing, especially the implications brought on by the fact that his shadow when the gang first confronts him looks exactly like him in the real world

e: Wow, Shadow Konoe flat out asking the Thieves if they could have saved him from his father is brutal
