Is the name entry at the beginning family/given or vice versa? If there's an indicator I'm dumb and missed it.

Some of these minibosses are brutal. I've had trouble with the Archangel and the Mokoi. Both took retries, and the Mokoi fight ended with Haru on her own just barely eking out the win.

Fusing a Slime with Agi and Garu and spamming dodge gets me a lot closer to victory, but I still can't do it yet. I think I'll grind for yen and EXP tomorrow, and if that doesn't work I'll switch to Easy.

Use Rakunda (Sophie comes with it if you don't want to use Joker for it) to drop their defense. Later on you can use Matarukaja to also buff ATK (Ryuji will learn it pretty late, but he does have Tarukaja for single targets and it's not like he's using his SP for anything). All-Out Attacks are the big damage bomb but you need to deplete all their shields to use it.

It's standard Persona where buffs and debuffs do matter. Sophie/Makoto is a pretty good default team later on because that's that's two healers with a DEF down and DEF up, and you can throw in Ann for ATK down, Ryuji for ATK up, Yusuke for SPD up or Morgana for SPD down.

Is there any way to turn off teammate skills so Sophie doesn't waste her SP on anything else? I'm going to take her into my next Alice attempt.

My heart is going a mile a milisecond because I managed to beat Alice in a fight that went down to the absolute wire

I made liberal use of Rakunda and Tarunda. Sophie was the last one standing in the end

Ok I baaaarely beat it!

That really was a very Persona first boss. I was literally down to only Sophia who doesn’t have a way to hit weakness (brought her to heal) and no SP and just dodged around hitting her until I had showtime up

This was almost 1:1 my experience with this fight

Speaking of which, I did that request where you refight Alice and boy is that fight a lot more doable when you have more SP and better Personas

I'm really just applying Rakunda/Tarunda to anything with a top-screen health bar now, it makes things a lot simpler

Jail 5: I was confused at first by the Thieves immediately realizing that it was Akane's Jail, but I guess it's actually that they knew her Shadow would be there but not that it was her Jail specifically?

Also, fantastic touch having Futaba be the only one to avoid the trap because she's so out of shape she lagged behind

Maybe if it was just once or twice I wouldn't mind but the game hits you with like ten of those fuckers and they're not even remotely fun.

In case you didn't know, you can slam an overworld Shadow with a Persona skill to start the fight and it won't count towards the security level.
