Apparently those were very specifically instructed to be prounced that way in English and I have no idea why

It's a definite escalation to go from 'ay you ain't the smartest one here' to 'thank gently caress we don't have to rely on that useless poo poo cat'. The tone of the poo poo talking is very different.

Sure. But if you didn't know about the mechanic beforehand it's loving annoying thinking about all the ways you could have spent your time prepping for it in ways the game never pushed as significant until that fight.
