PSGen1 still has samey dungeon walls, no minimap, PSGen2 is still balls difficult in combat, grindy and the dungeon maps are still teleporter hell mazes and for some reason they decided to keep the stupid pipe overlay that makes it extremely hard to see. In a way it's neat that they're that faithful? But..yeaaaah.

We had a classy toploading Pioneer VHS I think, and then a frontloader that did STEREO HOLY poo poo except it was crap from Akai and the heads derailed constantly, I remember dad propping one side up with a wedged spatula so we could watch Toy Story without it skipping
