Does the Grappendix count as a hitbox, since it's one of your organs? I was just in Cruelty Squad HQ and killed the golem that explodes into a thousand flechettes, and the flechettes killed me as soon as the grappendix entered the room even though I didn't remotely have line of sight into the room. E: Video of what happened. I guess it's possible that the golem's gibs explode, including the gib that fell out of the room and landed next to me. yeah it's the gib exploding, if you're going to kill him do it from above in the doorway before since he can't punch you and much less likely to get splatted in that way if you take cover

I didn’t know the creator was more artist than game dev but that makes sense. Also I developed my CEO grind-mindset when I learned that stocks go nuts right after you kill the Governer who wants to introduce a radical socialist 1% tax on the rich so I dumped all 10k or so of my cash into random fish, rocketed that commie and left my computer to continue my inspirational CEO grindset offline while wait waiting for my fortune to grow to about 20 million or so before cashing out and now own everything you can buy in the game. So far now that I have all the upgrades cruise ship is my favorite level, you can be like a depressed poo poo covered waste spewing gig-SAS operator dangling from your appendix off the side busting into windows with the suppressed SMG.

I should have guessed that the creator would make for an odd interview, but I kinda like it too. I found the stock market too confusing to use, I figured it was just deliberately volatile with no rhyme or reason. I was *mostly* right, even if certain events cause stocks to shift in specific ways.

The Hope Eradicated skybox changes from red to green after you get the Cruelty Squad HQ ending. At least that's what did it for me.

i loving love this poo poo so much, just started day before yesterday and i can't put it down a fever dream of ultraviolence in the final days of capital i like that in the Office level if you shoot out the windows of the 4 corner-office targets, they'll tend to leap to their deaths, managed to kill all the targets without entering the building and get an A rank on my second try

If you move correctly around the building as you do it you can get an S no sweat.

The thing that’s really unique about cruelty squad is that it rolled in the late capitalism aesthetic of #boyboss #hustle stuff in a cyberpunk world and made the world viscerally horrifying in a way even most good cyberpunk doesn’t. Deus Ex and Squid Game at the end of the day are kinda sleek and clean worlds in comparison to the Sewage-Powered tasteless world in Cruelty Squad.

Our boss makes a pretty good anti establishment element in the intro to idiot party and office... Whether he's instituting a coup or just going joker idk Another fun thing to consider is many of our targets are described as having gone incoherent and crazy, so maybe those later mission briefings are just our own psychosis freak out
