Updated, the U.S. facility (a contractor) making the J&J vaccine hosed up 15 million doses because they got the ingredients mixed up or some poo poo. Doesn't gently caress up any J&J doses out there now, because they were manufactured in the Netherlands, and the NYT tweet didn't make it clear that the Dutch plant is still shipping doses everywhere.

That's some shockingly bad quality control processes. You'd think they'd be lifting the quality measures directly from the NL factory but I'd guess not?

Really appreciate your posting this; for the first time in my career, had a servicemember tell me they felt they were trans just a couple weeks back. Thanked them for telling me, and recommended they talk to their service leads and be doubly careful of their mental health, but now hereís something substantial to give back.

The republican argument against the Transportation Bill is apparently going to be that it owns too hard.

https://twitter.com/ccadelago/status/1377433170698588166

It's a cut clip, but it's not like additional time and context would help it. And she's threatening a presidential run in 2024.

And yep, the transban is dead and the new policy is more like 2016+, probably even better than it was back then.

This is why they focus on bullshit culture war stuff. Its the only thing that can give the rage fix they're used to. Infrastructure spending is like methodone when you need to inject a Dr. Suess ban.

There are, according to Transport Canada (Peace be upon them), four modes of transportations:
Air
Marine
Road
Pipeline

So arguably pipes yes, wires and structures no. I don't know what Buttigieg is up to in Jones Act Land.

USDOT (Mayor Pete) is in charge of both FHWA (Federal Highway) and FRA (Federal Rail), but coordination between the two is usually done at the State level, and is hilariously contentious. Each State's Public Utility Comission (PUC) is responsible for arbitrating disagreement between the two. The rail companies had the land first and has the land rights, and they are dicks about giving up any of those.

I understand that those would not be modes of transportation, I just was not aware that modes of transportation were the only things that are infrastructure.

Anyone with the power to tell you won't/can't tell you. Russia sure as gently caress isn't going to tell you, but if their troops are being dumb and geotagging pics of troop movements on social media then that's probably what would be considered an indicator in the OSINT community.

I don't follow the tweeters other than memes and poo poo so I dunno what to look for. Haven't seen anything in the news though.

Problems look mighty small from 150 miles up.

One of my earlier memories is taking a car ride through the German countryside on a beautiful fall day in 1990, and as we crested a hill looking out the window to see an endless line of train cars loaded up with M1s and Bradleys stretching across the valley, pulling out of Graf for the Gulf. Reminded of it every time I see the video parades of Russian equipment rolling down the highway looking for trouble.
