I tend to agree on the previous post, but this post has a counter argument. People who vote democrat don't normally turn out like they did last year, and alot of those who did anddo don't normally vote democrat, they were just voting the current GOP out. We can't expect those numbers again(tho arguably neither can the GOP, since they had the cult of trump who are now disillusioned)

My point is that construction work is skilled labor and it's a fallacy to say that anybody can go do it or that is going to go to Americans not illegal immigrants as happens now.

I met someone a couple years back who was making $35/hr plus living expenses as a journeyman plumber. All he did all day was cut pipe and supervise unskilled laborers who were setting it.

Yes, there are skilled trades in construction, but there are way more unskilled jobs. Not everyone in a kitchen is a chef or a sous chef, and not everyone on a jobsite is a master craftsman.

this is exactly what I was expecting to hear when they said the dogs were leaving. someone upset a rescue and got bit, which is a thing that happens when you are dealing with rescues. They have buttons and lines that sometimes get crossed or pushed until they are fully trained out of it. It's always the fault of the person who got bit, tho, you should just treat all dogs as loving creatures who still have sharp teeth.

How do you all expect the Exchange attack to affect regular old consumer people? I imagine if they work for any business with an internal email server they could potentially have had their emails stolen? Emails are used for 2fa a lot.. so I could also imagine hackers using email access to break into other accounts people own and start identity/monetary theft stuff. I work for a hospital, we use exchange, I haven’t heard anything about this attack except for here, but I imagine we are affected to some extent.

If you have email 2fa pointed at your work email, I suggest changing that. If you have said anything in a work email that can be used against you, they could in theory use that to gently caress with you. Because this wasn't a single actor, but rather a bunch of amateur actors with serious access, they might stoop to kiwifarms type bullshit.

I mean, if you are entirely professional in your emails, you should be fine, but I know alot of people aren't.

Oh, and they are going to have to rebuild your entire computer network because exchange has domain administration privilege, so expect some disruption. As they turn everything attached to the domain off(which is how you log into the computer itself, and access files)

The big thing to remember with those inflated hospital prices is that they are meant to be haggled over. If you get a giant absurd bill you can, instead of just paying, call them up and say the bill is absurd and you aren't paying, but you might go as high a $10 and a bottlecap, and they will counter that you are taking food out of their poor starving children's mouths(this is a lie, but not an indication of poor character as this is just part of negotiations) so you need to counter that they are charging enough to impoverish you and your poor pregnant wife(again, an acceptable lie un this scenario!). After several rounds of this, you should come to an equitable price

Or they will refuse to fill your medication til you pay their inflated price because they hold all the power in that interaction
