I have some old clips of John Goodman messing around with the Braves in 1992 spring training, though I don't think he got an at-bat during a game. Goodman had just filmed The Babe.

I saw a game at the Trop in 1998. It felt like a slightly bigger basketball arena, but I can't recall much on specifics, other than parking was horrible. The Devil Rays did have a sweet deal that for $20 (or $25) you could buy an inaugural game program, T-shirt and poster. Still have all of them somewhere.

Dodgers' crimes.xls made me think of Kevin Maitan, who was going to be a top-notch prospect and was stripped from Atlanta in the Coppollela mess. Before covid, Maitan never got above A-ball for the Angels. He didn't exactly tear up the Venezuelan Winter League last year, either.

The pitching hasn't been there, except for Anderson, and the offense didn't look like it gave a poo poo today. Ozuna came crashing down to earth after last year and Swanson's never going to be the guy he's capable of being.

It was either Old Busch, Riverfront or both where the field temperature could get up to 120 degrees. Those old carpet turfs everybody used to use were horrible.
