So you pay anywhere between 20 bux and 1k to enter into a lottery? Or you skip the lottery and take your chances in the marketplace? Either way this sounds really dumb. And what's more dumb is I heard about this stuff back in early Feb and I mostly dismissed it.

Sign ups are cancelled again, so RIP my ability to get in. I just want to spend 20 dollars and nod my head in satisfied disappointment when I get garbage, knowing that I was right all along.

I mean... that's a good thing. The NBA has a reputation to protect, and keeping some BS crypto people to strict standards is a good way to avoid an incident where people's accounts get hacked or balance stolen or some poo poo.

I wouldn't underestimate the power of old rares if I were you. Old things you can no longer get have extraordinary and surprising value in games. But then, I'm thinking specifically in video games, and I don't know if that knowledge applies here.
