ARE YOU READY FOR AN EXPLODING. BARBED WIRE. DEATH MATCH?

Hi friends it's time for yet another AEW Prediction Game!

Here is the link for which you can make predictions - https://forms.gle/QfU8JJTPemU6F1Md7

As always, my opinion is the only one that matters when scoring. I tend to be literal as hell and remember, the best kind of correct is technically correct.

Tell me about the craziest match you've ever seen live (in person or broadcast).

the craziest match i ever saw live was in 1998 when kane defeated vader in a no dq match that sucked and wasn't crazy or interesting but they used them thin garbage cans. i haven't seen anything crazy live at all and i never will in my whole life

I saw the Cactus Jack vs. HHH Hell in a Cell at No Way Out 2001 in person.

The night before the first Dynamite I went to a local indie show and availed myself of the restroom during a death match where it was supposed to be Mance Warner, but instead we got some guy who ultimately got named during SpeakingOut and got forced out of the ownership group of the indie he owned because of it.

I was at an ECW house show in 98/99. The main event was RVD vs. Spike Dudley and RVD bloodied him all over the arena, a chair shot splattered Spike's blood onto my clothes and the bench we were sitting on, I was like 10/11. It was awesome.

Are you sure I'm winning the Rumble? That does'nt seem right.....
I love predictions.

I saw Tenille Tayla vs. Jessie McKay in front of like 30 people, which is weird to think back on.

I'd mention crazy hardcore matches but all the ones I've seen live were crazy in how badly designed they were, or how much they soured the evening's tone.

Uh, what AIW match have I see that was actually the craziest?

I guess Matt Cross vs. Josh Prohibition where they are trying to kill each other from 2019's gauntlet for the gold.

i was reffing a match in my youth while training and the guys planned a spot where a dude would swing and miss with a chair except the guy taking it forgot to move and so took a chairshot straight to the dome and had a huge lump on his head.

i havent had a chance to see alot of wrestling live, so thats my wrestling story.

At least you are prepared for eventually meeting Matthew Justice.

I have seen multiple The Devil Drexl matches live. none were great. one time we were in line to get in and he stepped out a side door in street clothes for a cigarette, saw the long line of people, and hid behind the door to smoke. I laughed loudly irl.

The Devil Drexl was the guy who was supposed to wrestle Mance Warner in the match I mentioned above.

Burying all the trauma from past nights
Burying my anger in the past

I genuinely blanked on who is in the Casino Tag Team Battle Royale.

The craziest match I saw live was Kevin Steen's last match in ROH Final Battle. The hype for the Generico vs Steen match had me really wanting to go. I saw people throw insults at one of the refs for reasons I don't know. I turned around in my seat to see Steen and Jacobs and Steen alone trying to hype himself for his match. Homicide went into the crowd and was taking pictures and shooting the poo poo. And the match itself was crazier then all of that.

Would you be my new best friends?

Prediction made. Craziest match I can remember seeing on TV is still Mankind/Undertaker Hell in a Cell. Watching him go off the top of that cage through the table blew my goddamn mind. Then he loving went back up for more :stare:

Tony wouldn't sanction that match, but an exploding barbed wire match is ok.

craziest match i ever watched live was a.. I think a 6-way ladder match in ECCW. I do not remember any of the participants besides Ravenous Randy. there were tacks involved and a huge huge ladder bump.

it may also have been the main event of that show, which was darby allen vs. eddie osbourne. eddie smooshed darby a lot, and also darby shoot climbed a pillar in the building to jump off of it. i think he also jumped off of one of the balconies in the building.

in one of these two matches, two participants fought out to the streets of vancouver. i unironically cannot remember which. but it was cool.

I went to an NXT house show in 2014 and saw Finn, KENTA, Alexa, Sasha, Becky, Bailey, FTR, Chad Gable, and Jason Jordan and I sat ringside for $20.

The craziest match I saw live was the world championship match at Revolution. Sure it was tame compared to other matches, but that was incredible seeing them brawl in the isle nearest to us.

the Maryland State Athletic Commission legitimately fined AEW for that match and Tony knew it would. in kayfabe he was trying to avoid the fine by not sanctioning the match. saying, "this was not my company's fault." it didn't work but he knew they were going to do the match and tried the only thing he could. this other match is not going to be fined due to being in hell florida. extremely smart booking

I knew next to nothing about the card of the first show I went to, and there was a Matthew Justice-Killer Kross match that included a highspot off the balcony and a chairshot to the head for the finish, so that was real novel to me

Best live match I ever saw was, funnily enough, the Bucks / Cowboy Bebop match at Revolution 2020.

Second best live match I ever saw was Suzuki / Okada at Royal Quest in 2019.

AJ Styles vs. Nakamura or Ibushi vs. Nakamura at the Dome were probably the best matches I've seen live, but atmosphere-wise Jay White vs. Okada when he won in about 15 minutes was the most I've ever screamed at a heel.

I was also there when the Bullet Club formed :colbert:

aaaaand despite loving AEW's tag team division I've completely blanked on who's in the battle royale :v:
