I feel like this guy should count as a cryptid.

Bold of you to assume that Earth, Wind & Fire aren't aliens that came to Earth to share funky tunes.

I just learned the Bigfoot suit used in the Patterson-Gimlin film had boobs. Those guys sat down and said "You know what this suit needs? Big tits."

If you spend a lot of time talking to cryptozoologists they often sound exactly the same as conspiracy theorists. There's also a whole bunch of conspiracies about how the forestry department has been systematically hiding evidence of bigfoot to protect the logging industry, or the Smithsonian has been hiding evidence of giant skeletons because they would disprove the theory of evolution. Young Earth Creationists have been jumping onto that bandwagon as well in recent times, and there's also been a new twist where the Smithsonian teamed up with the Vatican to destroy thousands of giant skeletons.

That reminds me, there's a story about a group of U.S. soldiers encountering a giant in Afghanistan.

This is the Brungus, a creature from German folklore. Every summer solstice in Bavaria (where the Brungus legend originated from in the 12th century), children hang branches of beech trees (has to be beech, no spruce, pine, or oak. This enrages him) on their bedroom ceilings during the holiday known as Brungusfeiern. Kids that don't do that get eaten by the Brungus.

It's a real shame that thylacoleo carnifex (marsupial lion/pouched lion) didn't take off in cryptozoology circles like the thylacine (marsupial wolf/Tasmanian tiger) has, there's been reports of panther-like creatures in the Australian bush for well over 100 years and you'd think it would really fit the bill. It was real! It was here! It was exactly panther-shaped!

Some of the paleo-art reconstructions make it look pretty cool and badass :black101::

These things are terrifying in ARK.
