A friend of mine from high school told me about the movie reviews. We used to laugh ourselves silly reading about such classics as "Ax 'Em" and "Nukie". From there, it was only a matter of time before I found the forums.

I was in college. This was around 2002 or 03. Someone linked to a thread entitled "My Mother Is Insane". It was about some goon who's mom was a hoarder. It was funny. Scoped out some other poo poo, and liked the forums, but didn't have a credit card so couldn't join. Finally joined in 2007. That was literally the first purchase I made with a credit card.

I found the ROM PIT review of M.U.S.C.L.E or one of the other games that 2007 era AVGN knockoffs were yelling slurs at with unregistered hypercam 2 and made my way from there

Someone sent me an email link or however we used to do that back then of Cliff Yablonski stuff and I found the forums going through front page stuff. I didn't reg until about mid-2002 I think, but that account is long lost. It's not a loss or anything, I didn't post anything interesting under that account either.

PvP forums. Scott Kurtz was getting annoyed with how bad his fan-forum had become and someone posted a link to the frontpage article on how to make a webcomic. I noticed there was a forum and WELP. Kurtz would burn the forum to the ground cause it was too negative, so they moved offsite to Comicopolis or something of the sort. It was basically a sanitized SA. Not sure what happened to it, I guess it just shut down.
