And maybe it's easier to withdraw from life With all of it's misery and wretched lies Away from harm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIp9VFdZIKQ Freedom's so high when we are all bound by laws Etched in the scheme of nature's own hand Unseen by all those who fail in their pursuit of fate.

I like what I've heard from them well enough op but I don't have the level of familiarity with their discography where I'd be comfortable picking any "favorite" songs. Best of luck with your thread.

Borrowed 'Into the Labyrinth' from the public library on a whim years ago. If not for that I might never even have heard of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xX9KerJZgYE One of their more conventional songs, but it's catchy as heck.

Absolutely bored it’s way I to my head when I heard it on this incredible Highschool, public radio station from a few cities over in the early 90s. Lot of REALLY great stuff went down with this album as the soundtrack. Strong feelings from this. I think only My Bloody Valentine’s, “Loveless,” ranks higher on that scale. Thanks for this post and thanks for this thread, OP.

I have not heard them a whole lot which is a shame it seems, but one track has been stuck on my playlist for the last couple of years: The Host of Seraphim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iqxzURgQWg One suggested by youtube which I recall having heard last year(?) which I really should get on the playlist as well: Anabasis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLzBENQ3Ii8

My brother was a huge Dead Can Dance fan. He was a huge metalhead that listened to mostly doom, black and death but had a thing for bands like Dead Can Dance, Enya, Coil etc. I've got his CDs packed away. I should grab them and give Dead Can Dance a listen again. Maybe I'd like them more in my old age.

That's one I never listened to, but since listening to a Dead Can Dance artist radio on Pandora it started playing a lot of that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRTy1xBZGQE Sick!

By the way, the entire Coil discography is public domain. https://archive.org/details/CoilFlacDiscography The files from the archive verify successfully to the CD releases using CUETools.
