Well, Comet actually just straight up tells you "There's no way i'm gonna make it through this, just throw me under the bus and try to save yourself" if you end up with her on the Gnosia team

Yeah just like in real mafia, throwing one of your teammates under the bus works very well to deflect suspicion. I've won several games as a solo Gnosia after totally serving up my teammate when it became pretty obvious they were screwed anyway.

I think I'm like 160 loops in and almost done. There's really only one bit of crew data I don't have yet, but I haven't figured out what is going to trigger it yet. But I'm also in no particular rush, I'm still enjoying the core mechanics, and I now have all of the commands (or maybe 29/30?) and high enough stats where I can win most games.

Early game tip: Intuition 20 and the Say You're Human (spoiling it, I guess, even though in my game the event for it popped up really early) is really powerful, especially to give you the lay of the land on Day 1 of any loop where you aren't Gnosia. Normally either I catch someone in a lie, or everyone else catches someone in a lie even if I didn't and it's pretty obvious -- when all of a sudden seven people are like "Hey, Shigi is looking pretty sketchy..." you know something just happened. Or if no one gets caught outright, usually the people who didn't speak up are worth looking at.

I kept accidentally mashing through the "step forward" request when playing as Doctor or Engineer, so I ended up in a fun loop where Gnosia Otome was declared definitely human and everything was hosed. The AI does not consider dumb human error in its reasoning.

Yeah it took me by surprise that there was no way to late claim but I guess that would throw a wrench in the whole “Definitely Human/Enemy” mechanic

Finally beat it on Loop 176. I finally gave in and looked up how to trigger the last event I needed, and I’m glad I did because it seems like I needed to use the cover command on someone (which I almost never do anymore), so it would have taken me ages to luck into that.

Really enjoyed both the ending and the True Ending. What a cool, weird little game. I can definitely still see myself firing it back up for a loop or two every now and again.

I'm liking the way some(but not too many) events are strategy hints. Most of Raqio's events are 'if XYZ is the situation, who is gnosia/human/whatever(or can you even definitively tell)' tutorials with them being surprised if you can do basic logic before answering. Then there's one group event where Raqio suggests looking for gnosia by seeing who defends each other too much, before the other people in the event point out that they're 100% the type of rear end in a top hat who would throw their own allies under the bus if they're gnosia. :allears:

My favorite tutorializing event is Yuriko straight up telling you she’s Gnosia and being all “try to get me.” It took me a few tries but it was a great exercise in figuring out how to nail someone who has better stats and abilities than me. Of course, by the time I got to the endgame I could just steamroll her like everyone else, but for early strategy it was cool.

Hint on how to get the other one: what would you do if you wanted to see Setsu again?

I'll lay it out (without spoiling the story) if people can't figure it out from that hint, since I never would have found this on my own if I hadn't stumbled across a spoiler, and it's worth seeing.

If you don't want to see the spoiler and want to figure it out for yourself, I'll say that you don't have to worry that you are losing out on the true ending by playing any particular way, you can't screw it up such that you are locked out of the second ending, so feel free to experiment.

Anyway, if you can't figure it out: After you get the first ending and the credits roll, you'll come back to the main screen with a different graphic behind the title. Start a new game in a new slot. I'm not sure if you need to name your character the same or have the same details, but I did. It should be pretty obvious what to do from that point.

Events where you have to keep a specific character unfrozen to the end with them as Gnosia are the loving worst. :negative:

I finally managed Sha-ming's by turning the number of total players down to 8 and managing a double freeze when people couldn't decide between voting for the real engineer and an AC Follower engineer. Gina's continues to plague me(you'd think it'd be easier since I don't officially know she's gnosia & am a human myself, so there's no worrying about lying, but noooo), although at least she doesn't have as much text to buttonmash through when her 'please help me stay until the end of this loop' event pops up.

e: and of course the first game after I say that, I manage to get that event & I didn't need to keep her around more than a day. Apparently Gina's so bad at lying she was repeatedly getting frozen immediately after the 'please keep me alive until we pass through the system' event.

My worst was the one where SQ wants you and her to be the only people alive at the end, where you are Gnosia and she isn't. The first time that scenario popped up, she was Engineer and I had already counterclaimed her. I was like "this probably will not work out well."

It always makes me laugh when Definite Human/Enemy pops up in the choice list and I'm like "????? No idea, hopefully someone else figures it out. Raqio, stage is all yours"

2. Her 5th one where I need to be Gnosia. I thought maybe I needed to collaborate with her when she's human, or be on the same team as her as Gnosia but I don't THINK either of those has worked. There may be some other requirement involving victory but I'm not sure all the variations I've tried out.

I think this starts from a night event where you talk to her and she asks if you are hiding something. I'm not sure, but maybe she has to suspect you? If it isn't popping when you are Gnosia, try talking a little more so she may catch you in a lie. I'm not 100% sure if that is necessary, but it may help trigger it.

Remnan: 1. His fourth one where I can be any role. No idea.
2. His fifth one where I need to be human. My guess is I need to collaborate with him but I haven't yet even managed to do that. He always seems to hate me lmao.

I don't remember #4, I think it just kinda happened for me. For #5, it comes as a result of you (mild hint)using a particular command regarding him.

If you can't figure #5 out, here is directly how to make it happen. I ended up looking that one up since it wasn't happening naturally for me and I went like twenty loops with no idea how to trigger it. You have to use "cover" on him. Not defending him after someone suspects him, but the thing where you just pipe up out of nowhere with "I think Remnan is trustworthy" and everyone else goes "huh? I guess" because no one ever uses that command except when obvious Gnosia are backing each other up. After that there are some night events to get through it so try to keep him alive.

quote:

E: Setsu just chimed in again at the end of a loop and told me we needed some sort of "special condition" and now the event search doesn't work. :ohdear:

Mild hint if you get tired to trying to figure that one out: Try really messing around with the setup, it needs to be unusual.
(edit): looks like you got that one while I was typing!

This is the smallest, most inconsequential thing ever, but how do you change your favorite color / player icon? Was it something during character creation that I missed? I don't like the red one that much.

It's during character creation, yeah. I never tried to change mine, so I'm not 100% sure it can't be done, but if you're not seeing a way, there might not be one.
