I'm not big into gunning but I hope that sticky LBG is still good in Rise. I enjoyed how easy and mindless it was in Iceborne for fights that are otherwise frustrating

Singleplayer and multiplayer progression being separate is the only big one I can think of. Coming from PC World going back to 1080p 30fps is an adjustment as well, though I know that doesn't bother everyone

You get to pick two wirebug moves and one switch skill move, which replaces one part of a weapon's moveset with another. I could be wrong but for CB I think you give up charged sword for savage axe

Going to :finewine: my way through this game, this is only my 3rd new MonHun game. LR village to LR hub to HR village to HR hub is hopefully a good progression like it was in GU. Don't want to get too OP for village.

You need to hold the buttons during the attack animations to get the spins

Also more CB talk. Is there any drawback to the counter morph slash? I am not really catching the difference in terms of actual performance. Between the two. The way they read it sounds like it is a never not use the morph counter skill over the normal skill cause it does the same thing but with a better discharge after counter.

So why would you not use morph counter skill.

It's a longer animation but a better guard point basically. I think it's probably better than the default move overall but that's the tradeoff

Done a few HR rampages now and my thoughts on the mode are pretty much what I expected: I like it, it's fun and wild, but I don't want to grind it too hard and I'm gonna get mad when there are parts I want locked behind it. Also to echo what others have said, it's insane how stable the frame rate stays during that whole mess

I dunno, maybe it's because I remember Iceborne fondly and can't really remember vanilla World.

Rise is cool game though.

I really, really like World so I feel you but I think Rise definitely edges out World at launch. With Iceborne and all the content updates World is a more full featured experience but Rise + G rank expansion on PC has potential to knock it out of the park. Also it's the honeymoon phase right now so aspects of Rise that seem cool might end up being annoying in time, like Iceborne and the clutch claw.

I don't know if anyone's gotten to the point of digging into that, but how much of a grind is it, out of curiosity? I watched a couple of high rank hunt videos and noticed that Attack Boost gems seem to be back, but the idea that I can craft them instead of having to pray for a lucky drop sounds a lot better.

You'll need alots of HR mats, but doesn't seem that bad since you'll only need a relatively small amount of decos. Attack and crit eye are level 2 decos now so you won't just be slapping them on everywhere

I think its going to depend on how much you desire a godlike charm. The range of efficiency of a charm is huge but if you're okay with merely a decent one then that should be a lot less frustrating. The real time sink will be making decent charms for multiple builds (rip gunners)

The bar above your health bar comes from picking up endemic life out in the field. I think its lantern bugs that give you a little bit of damage block and monsters get hurt when they hit you.

I have also done SAEDs that don't put me back into sword mode and what I've been assuming is happening is that a teammate hits your during the morph animation so it cancels it. That's the only reason I can work out so if you're playing solo idk what to tell you but if you figure it out let me know
