Man, this white power biker gang on SVU seems really socially progressive.

My mom & I will text each other if an episode with Buchanan is on. He is so loving awesome.

The actor had a recurring role on The Wire playing Jay Landsman, the cop used as inspiration for Munch. (The real life Jay Landsman would also get a recurring role in later seasons as a desk sergeant.)

drat, I need to go back and watch some older seasons, I’ve missed a lot of SVU before season 11.

One thing from more recent episodes of SVU that I’ve enjoyed: the past few times they’ve investigated a crime that happened on a porn site or an app the owner has been played by John Waters. I don’t even think it was the same character either since I don’t think the other characters recognized him as the same guy iirc. Kind of hope that it’s just him every time and nobody notices that all the porn site owners look exactly the same :haw:

edit: poo poo, sorry that image was so huge, phoneposting

If there's any justice he's also the same guy that was extradited from NY to Baltimore in that L&O/Homicide crossover episode.

Rollins was a rape victim, Carisi did something

Not just something, Peter Scanavino has a rare honor, having random roles in Law & Order, SVU, Criminal Intent and Trial by Jury all before landing the role of Carisi. Maybe they're building up his write off so they can have him join the new show.

Speaking of cop shows in big cities, I tried watching the episode of The Rookie last night to try out some other copaganda shows when SVU takes the season break and wow, such a hackey setup Oh boy I hope nothing happens at this season finale wedding where the groom is a special guest and the bride just personally insulted the head of a Guatemalan cartel and the DEA agent monitoring the cartels chatter.

I definitely have the image of him doing the hunched-over gun-pointed-at-the-ground pose, but that could just be because it's such an hilarious image and not because it actually happened.

e: In season 1 he has the faceoff with the guy who had created a fake life as an economic development agent while actually living off money stolen from people who stole it in a bank robbery. It's when the guy is about to shotgun his kids, and Goren talks him into surrendering.

2e: Turns out there's quite the source for this sort of thing.

I just saw that one the other day it's got quite the roster of guest stars.

Michael Emerson from Lost and a bunch more, Brooke Smith from Silence of the Lambs and Series 6 and Jason Butler Harner from Ozarks.

I know OC doesn't do it, but did SVU have any :doink: after the opening credits?

I dont think so, it wasn't as much of a meme when SVU started as it is now.

'Keep things current' means the higher ups found out SVU is trying to pull by having two women over the age of forty.

I could see that, even let's them get sanctimonious about the way Hollywood treats cops.

I don’t think it had even been streaming before and I can’t recall the last time any of it was on syndication.

Ion had it for a while, but it was removed like a year ago. Probably just for this reason.

Huh, looking it up and you're right they never had it. Maybe I caught the movie one afternoon and just assumed they had the full series?

Yeah fully intentionally. Bogdonavich and Heffner hated each other. Bogdonavich was extremely possessive of his girlfriend Dorothy Stratton and harassed Heffner constantly to not publish the photos she modeled for. Then after Dorothy was murdered and Bogdonavich started grooming her 12 year old sister he met at her funeral Heffner published articles about him being a pedophile.

That's weird, it was definitely on Hulu back in December when they added the series.

Granted there's an almost 20-year gap. But, despite turning on Criminal Intent when nothing else was on my wife lost her poo poo when I pointed out Vincent D'Onofrio was Gorren and the Kingpin.

I didn't even realize she didn't know, I had just made a crack about the Kingpin trying to nail Luke Cage in a murder for hire plot.

I was out sick the day of the verdict so I didn't see it at school. I do remember the Challenger and getting upset when, because I was talking it up, my grandparents gave me the chocolate shuttle they had bought for me. My grandmother thought it might not be a good idea, but my grandfather had paid for it and he wasn't about to let it go to waste.
