Man, this white power biker gang on SVU seems really socially progressive.

YeahTubaMike posted:My mom & I will text each other if an episode with Buchanan is on. He is so loving awesome. The actor had a recurring role on The Wire playing Jay Landsman, the cop used as inspiration for Munch. (The real life Jay Landsman would also get a recurring role in later seasons as a desk sergeant.)

HOLY gently caress posted:drat, I need to go back and watch some older seasons, I’ve missed a lot of SVU before season 11. If there's any justice he's also the same guy that was extradited from NY to Baltimore in that L&O/Homicide crossover episode.

MJeff posted:Rollins was a rape victim, Carisi did something Not just something, Peter Scanavino has a rare honor, having random roles in Law & Order, SVU, Criminal Intent and Trial by Jury all before landing the role of Carisi. Maybe they're building up his write off so they can have him join the new show.

Speaking of cop shows in big cities, I tried watching the episode of The Rookie last night to try out some other copaganda shows when SVU takes the season break and wow, such a hackey setup Oh boy I hope nothing happens at this season finale wedding where the groom is a special guest and the bride just personally insulted the head of a Guatemalan cartel and the DEA agent monitoring the cartels chatter.

Hand Knit posted:I definitely have the image of him doing the hunched-over gun-pointed-at-the-ground pose, but that could just be because it's such an hilarious image and not because it actually happened. I just saw that one the other day it's got quite the roster of guest stars. Michael Emerson from Lost and a bunch more, Brooke Smith from Silence of the Lambs and Series 6 and Jason Butler Harner from Ozarks.

fartknocker posted:I know OC doesn't do it, but did SVU have any after the opening credits? I dont think so, it wasn't as much of a meme when SVU started as it is now.

'Keep things current' means the higher ups found out SVU is trying to pull by having two women over the age of forty.

I could see that, even let's them get sanctimonious about the way Hollywood treats cops.
