Sometimes I will hear a music track in a game that's obviously a take on an old piece and I will just start loudly singing along with it.

A remake of the first Last of Us what.

What would that even mean?

New Funky Abby Mode Included.

And then the big twist at the end, Abby gains the power to leave that doomed universe and start traveling to other Playstation Universes.

This gives me big Wii U - era vibes where a demo could only be played a few times and also on the first full moon of the month.

Well it turns out he was talking less in terms of Days Gone and more about sequels to games in general.

My fave '???' part of MGS is seeing that Solid Snake is only 165lbs (74kg) and thinking "what...?". I mean not to body shame or anything but you'd think a 6 foot supersoldier would have maybe lifted weights a couple of times. (Yeah I'm heavier and shorter than that so I can't talk, but still, wtf?). This is a part where you can be like 'this game was definitely 100% not made in the USA where he'd be 190-210 (?) lbs probably.

The Snake Sons were genetically engineered with very specific specifics in mind.

Like that lady from the Mass Effect games, only without the focus on the butt.

Or I guess...with the focus on the butt. But not anymore, for either of them.

I'm playing the Switch port of Oddworld: Munch's Odyssey. It's nice to play a game that handles political themes well but these turn of the century motion controls aren't perfect and the context sensitive action button is way too context sensitive.

When I was younger and hadn't gone through the game I would see the title in ads and always wondered why they were just showing footage from a single outdoor level over and over again.

Then years later I found out it all was different outdoor levels, they all just looked goddamn the same because of how their first 3D World Level Constructor turned out alongside the time crunch they were under to get the game out as an Xbox launch title.

Maybe it's a good thing events like in-person E3 are dead and people can't easily meet game devs and the people what make the decisions about said games anymore these days if stories like this are going to become more commonplace over time.

And by more commonplace I mean like, happen at all in the first place.

Well, that was a good half-decade or so of Crash seemingly being back. Guess there's really no new Spyro game in development at the moment if both Toys For Bob and Vicarious Visions are busy in various support roles.

Crash 4 was probably barely saved from being turned into a live-service game with battle passes, limited-time alternate skins and various currencies to spend during development.
