Violent sports aren't going away, but I do hear parents actually deciding not to let their kids play full contact stuff any more. Football as a game will likely slowly transition to one of the safer variations we have now(like touch or flag), and will become a sport you encourage your kid to do because they have no other options, not instead of other options. I feel like hockey is already there. I don't think many canadians are giving up futures as surgeons to play hockey, tho I may be wrong

If you set it up as like, a dual sided club(half is vets only, the other half is memberships sold to the public) you could do alot more to be self sufficient, you would have more jobs to provide(need more than twice as many bartenders, plus whatever support staff), and it would likely have pretty large community support, even if you are openly left leaning (maybe even more support in some places). It being vet oriented, coming up with startup funding should be pretty easy between grants and crowdfunding.
