Shonen Jump is good actually. Can’t wait for the Sakamoto Days anime.

Edit: if a bunch of other publishers want to give me access to a ton of their catalogue for only 2$ a month maybe Shonen Jump won’t be as good, let me know when that happens.

Yes to both of these. Sakamoto is fun so far and the only other game I really know of for licensed simulpub is shuiesha, which just seems like digital jump but with less reliable access to old stuff.

To Your Eternity looks good so far, and now that it's airing it's time to remind everyone the original manga is by the author of A Silent Voice and it's great.

Oh dang I did not know this. Crunchy is also simulpubbing the manga. It's ahead of scanlators, last I checked.

Basically the 3 versions of spider are all radically different.
LN is... the original. Whatever.
Anime is LN but the standard "Full Speed ahead, cut out less important bits of things" hatchet job that tends to happen in anime a lot.
Manga is actually the really weird one here since it just kind of cuts out the Human characters entirely, at least thus far.

Haven't read the LN but from what I've seen of the anime, the point of the non-spider story is to make us appreciate the spider parts more so honestly I don't really fault the manga for this decision.

Lol, in Super Cub they blasted up the saturation like 200% as soon as they drank that coffee.

Super Cub has had a few touches like this and it's part of what makes it fun. Like the single piano note playing and saturation increasing the first time she sat on the cub.

A full no spider episode. Also no animation budget or ability to create drama or even slight interest.

Could have just had a still image of a spider and played cut takes and made a better show.

100% agreed. The human side of the story is where the "so what?" comes from.

wegg spoilers: the series opens with the mystery of the protagonist's female friend who she had obvious romantic tension with committing suicide, introduces a teacher who she was talking to who was kinda shady, and ends with the reveal that actually her female friend drove a teacher to suicide by falsely accusing him of rape and threatening to commit suicide herself and was trying to do the same thing to the other teacher when she slipped and fell and thats how she died

cause you know, the real epidemic is lying whores falsely accusing men of rape, not teen girl suicide

Holy loving poo poo this is not at all what I expected based on the first episode. Appreciate the spoilers, friend. I can safely take this off the list.
