It wasn't the best Dynamite but it's not like there haven't been not-the-best dynamites in the past. Practically everybody here was predicting Mox getting superkicked by the end of the match since they announced it last week so I'm not sure what was so awful about how it all went down to illicit the response it has here. Feels like these same lulls happen in between every PPV and everyone starts predicting AEW's downfall until the next great episode. Just a lot of weird doom and gloom.

AEW like they like to cycle people in and out based on what storylines they want to progress that week and it seems fine to me. There is definitely fat to trim, I can't argue with that. We don't need Sky and Ethan Page laughing to set up whatever they're doing while basically being completely removed from the story otherwise. But a lot of this feels like "they put ethan page on TV and not the person I want to see" type complaints and it happens every time we're a month+ away from the next PPV in this thread.

Can we talk about Darby flinging himself outside of the ring like a goddamn bullet? I know he does that dive to the outside a lot but he slammed into JD so hard last night. Looked loving awesome.

I'm more bummed about Christian than anything else in AEW right now just because it's yet another old dude with a story that doesn't make sense and he had a slow, plodding match with Kaz as his first match back. I have no idea where they're going to slot him into a story but after his match he shouldn't be anywhere near the title picture. However it's Christian so I assume that won't be the case.

Yeah I think it's awesome that they're actually training young talent and actually giving them time in the ring on TV (our Youtube) with established veterans or even with other young talent. I mentioned it in last week's dark thread I think it was but they're so much better at doing the NXT thing than NXT really ever was. Or at least it's closer to what NXT's original purpose was before they just turned it into another show. For as much as I like to give them crap for bringing in yet another old guy in Christian they are definitely doing the work on the other side of that to make sure they've established a younger group who can hopefully carry the torch someday.

PublicOpinion posted:-1 was amazing on the stage during 10 and 5's match, he kept copying the moves 10 was doing. Yeah he seems to be learning how wrestling matches work too, he was doing a lot of great character work and getting involved by being on the apron but dodging 10, etc.
