You and some friends bring a quart of ice cream to the bar on $3 guinness special night (the special in my case was for 22oz glasses which is not necessary for the guinness float per se but i just wanted to mention how good of a special it was). Ice cream wise i recommend something simple like straight choco or vanilla, both are good.
then you put the iced cream in the guinness
then you enjoy, perhaps at first justsipping and trying to get that sweet sweet 'scream in a sip but it always eludes you so you use the spoon to help
then you wash your glass out in the bar bathroom sink cause it makes a big mess in the glass and the bartender is very busy

Is birch beer an alcoholic thing? Or is it just like root beer? Because I know where to get birch syrup that I guess you'd just fizz up with some fizzy water. It ain't cheap though.

It's similar to rootbeer, but made from birch bark and clear.

from child experience i can tell you that when a parent provides diet caffeine-free soda, it makes the very worst floats but it does produce a solid foggy bubble tower that reaches the ceiling like abarahama lincoln 's stouffer top hat
