 there were 8 in 1990 but they have changed the rules to retroactively rob Andy Hawkins of his hilarious no-hitter/4-0 loss because the MLB hates fun

 I'm certain there was an instance of 2 same-day no hitters in 1990 and I think it happened in one of the other years.

Mark Buerhle's perfect game was super close to another perfect game, too, IIRC
