Over time, random factors add up. What is chaos in the moment becomes systemic over time and space. As data accumulates, a pattern emerges.

A Ixyn Rhodinia
B they, them
C Operative: one part mediator, one part businessman, one part diplomat, several parts bullshit artist
D Starting out as an Official government representative, branching out into Unofficial government representative, Covert government "representative", and Person who is here on matters completely unrelated to government business. Bringing law to the lawless.
E Bring civilization back to humanity, like it was in the Times That Were. End the chaos and squabbling, restore rule of law.
F A standard courier vessel, with numerous after-market mods; hidden compartments, speed boost, comfier chairs, etc.

A - the specifics and enforcement can change (or be suborned), but Justice is Justice and a fair deal is a fair deal.
A - knowing the hearts and minds of parties involved is an advantage towards the best solution
D - family feuds are the nastiest

Are ironsworn oaths common? I got the impression from the intro that they're once in a lifetime things; if they're routinely used in transactions, either humanity is more honest or oathbreaking is a "can you get away with it/cover your tracks" thing.

What mysterious dreams have drawn her out here...what voices murmur at the edge of her consciousness, waiting to be awoken...how screwed will everyone be if she DOES succeed...

1 B, for Bad News
2 A Perhaps more should be done than leaving it alone, with a "WARNING: Psychic alien inside. DO NOT TOUCH," but what weapons/tools do we have at our disposal? IF the crew could be convinced...but just getting them to leave is going to be hard, even after the shootings.

1 B Someone's going to find this thing again, especially now that people know of it.
2 C If we can't destroy the tomb, we'd need to silence her; as is, maybe we can get some useful info before putting her somewhere safe
3 C The claim seems a lot simpler and more legal; handle it before the Raven job, cause I suspect we'll be on the run after that.

HBar posted:

1. Vow to ensure that the spirit of the tomb won't directly cause a disaster within our lifetime. We don't know for sure yet whether it's even possible to destroy the tomb, and this vow also leaves our options open if it turns out its actions would be benign.
2. This is tricky - if we leave her here, there's a chance she figures out a way to get to the tomb and release the spirit. If we take her to the waypoint, her presence will raise questions we don't want to answer if the ship gets scanned or searched, we risk extending the reach of the spirit through its connection with her, and there's a risk she tells others about the tomb before we can deal with it. And if we question her more, that risks the spirit trying to get into our mind again, although maybe that only happened because of our empath ability.

Leaning towards B if we can question Erin in a safe way (maybe through text only), and assuming that we're leaving her with no communications and no way of reaching the tomb.

3. C, complete the claim before completing Raven's vow, but check on Raven first to make sure she'll be safe during the wait.
Did you mean to vote for B to destroy the tomb, instead of A to leave it here for other people to find it?

Yes, B

Which of these is more time-sensitive? If we absolutely need the parcel's contents to find raven, then we need to pull a switch. Still illegal, but they've got to prove you switched things.
