i was really worried about drive failure and fortunately i think i dodged that bulletebay seller posted:This a rare early VA-0 model, for those who don't know the early VA-0 had a steel encased fan and drive all of which manufactured with very high quality in Japan. The more common VA-1 models converted this steel to plastic and had a cheaper Chinese laser drive instead. In my opinion these rarer first edition models are the best. They've shown more durability, weigh more and were manufactured with much higher quality.

I've had to recalibrate the laser lens a few times over the years but yeah Dreamcast still kicks rear end
