Is it the PSO2 Tweaker that lets you turn off the censoring? I never saw it since I use it, but a bunch of my friends have it and I don't recall changing any settings for it in-game. Seeing stuff like Sa#$%&ay and s%&$s instead of Saturday and shoes would be a blast from the past though, the old word filter was hilarious with what it would block. e: That answers that question

It is in-fact the same filter file from PSO and PSU, with some additions. Like assgoblin.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it disappeared from my programs but was still holding on to 80GB of hard drive space. I had to do a bunch of loving around with filesystem permissions to fix it and I'm pretty sure there's still a couple gigabytes being used by it somewhere. Some people had to completely reinstall Windows to fully resolve it which is absurd.

Everyone went through poo poo when the game launched originally on the windows store but I had 0 issues installing NG beta and playing in it. Ive already gone through like 200GB of download today and I dont even know if it'll work.

Assuming you mean base pso2, start with gunner and then when you unlock subclasses at lv20 you can set it as hunter and it'll slowly gain exp alongside gunner. Eventually you will want to swap to hunter as main, though since subs stop gaining exp at a certain level, so prepare for that with weapons and such.

Good news on that steam issue, looks like they fixed it so you don’t have to change any local app data https://twitter.com/play_pso2/status/1402620500426346500?s=21 Funnily enough when this cropped up for me last night just launching the steam version through the tweaker worked just fine since it was a launcher issue

Once the servers are up you just go to a place that you can change blocks and you’re free to swap between pso2-classic and new genesis. The only thing that isn’t shared is your character inventory, so you have to throw any units or weapons you want to use in new genesis into storage before swapping
