We've had 20 years of "This [battlefield] game can't be that dumb." How much more do some of you need before you accept the fact that the BF series is always a rolling trainwreck? It's just that the trainwreck used to be fun goofy bugs like throwing tanks in the air with C4, and as they paired back all the goofy stuff it's just been the actual annoying poo poo that sticks out

Have you considered that seeing a trainwreck happen is fascinating and hard to look away from? Basically we are like those disgusting onlookers that stop to oogle and block emergency personnel from helping accident victims, only we don't hinder anyone from joining or leaving the show...

The United States posted:Partially live action COD-Style "fun" trailer This is deeply cursed, I think DICE have totally misunderstood the “only in Battlefield” wild stunts/kills thing to mean that players want BF to be ridiculous and comical, when actually I think players want an immersive authentic (but not ultra realistic) experience with silly stuff as a byproduct of the sandbox, not the other way round. That’s how it’s been since 1942. 2042 should have the grand gritty atmosphere of BF1 in a near future war scenario. The setting of war over mass refugee crisis, extreme weather and depleted resources is highly evocative but the marketing has failed to capture that, there’s a tonal dissonance. Really I just want more multiplayer games to value seriousness and immersion, they’re not dirty words. C4 stuff can still fit into that.

I never played WoW but were the ships actually moving or was it a case of the world moving around the ships? That's an old trick to solve the issue of a player character moving on a moving surface.
